Update: Both deals now live:
Chase will launch a number of new credit card offers, these aren’t 100% confirm but extremely likely:
- Chase Freedom Unlimited 3% for first year on up to $20,000 in purchases. Currently this offer is available in branch but the $150 after $500 spend offer is ending tonight and I expect it will be replaced with this 3% offer instead.
- Chase United Explorer, up to 60,000 miles. Broken down as follows:
- 40,000 after $2,000 in spend
- Additional 20,000 after an additional $6,000 in spend
- Chase Ink Cards to lose 0% APR periods
Some other cards are probably having the sign up bonus change as well, but those are the ones we are aware of for now.

Which is better? at 2/24 currently
@will ill I have some questions
I'm planning to apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card at some point this year. You mention that the $150 bonus offer is going away.. tomorrow?!? But right now I have a promotional e-mail from Chase that is telling me I can sign up for the $150 bonus until April 24, 2019. Just wondering if you know for sure the $150 bonus is going away for good tomorrow?
Secondly, I was curious whether people think there would be any way to get the $150 bonus and the 3% cashback for a year together? I saw in some comments that there's a referral link to get the 3% cashback right now. I couldn't find a referral link for it when I searched :/.. but I'm wondering whether that would be for $150 + 3% together? Basically, obviously I want both if it would possible since I'll probably only have one chance to get this card. :)
You might still be able to apply until then with whatever link you have. Just that the public bonus is changing.
No, no chance to get both
The offer you have will likely still be good until its expiration date. You will bit be able to get both the $150 and the 3x.
CSR 75000 points same MSR same AF
DP: I found out today that I got approved for ink unlimited after previously applying on two different occasions online. One time I was under 5/24 the second time I tried applying online after get a preapproval in the mail. The first time I called the recon line and they still rejected me saying that they had given me too much credit in the past year (freedom unlimited 20k, biz preferred 9k, biz cash, 8k). This time however, I got another preapproved mail offer and talked to a BRM. She explained that she can only bypass if there’s a specific reason. My reason: I have two rental properties (2 biz cards) and I’m looking into a third property (the 3rd card). This wasn’t an automatic approval as the BRM had to send in the paperwork. Also, I just applied the second time about a month ago. Probably not that smart to only wait a month but it worked!
Can I apply for Freedom Unlimited and get 3% I already got one last year (I will close it before applying)? So basically I'm wondering if Freedom Unlimited 3% is churnable the same way as Discover double miles when I can open their card every year and get 3% again and again.
Looks like i'll be getting a freedom unlimited tomorrow
If you have a friend who holds FU ask to see if their referral has been updated. I can see it on my end already.
You can already get 3% for the first year on up to $20,000 in purchases via referral link for Freedom Unlimited.
Well F... i was just approved for a United Card this morning. Does anyone have any experience with Chase adding offers to your card after the fact?
I'm in a similar boat having gotten the card a week ago. I got the $100 statement credit and 40k points. Usually they will match but I'm not sure how the statement credit will affect things.
Yes. Opened MPE personal for SO at 40k offer with $100 statement credit. .Emailed for match to targeted 60k offer received later. They ending up giving me 10k extra once MSR met. The 60k didnt include the SC.
Just got under 5/24 with an approved #2 CIP. While I could use the United miles, not sure it’s worth rolling a 5/24 slot with that 8k spend for 60k.
In the same boat. This will be telling whether I burn my 5/24 bridge permanently
Any news on that Chase reserve point value going up to 1.75 cents?? Somebody anybody??
Maybe the same time they up the AF and add a dining credit to Chili’s to go or something.
Babyback ribs.
