[Now Live] New Chase United Club Infinite Benefits (10% Award Discount, $75 IHG Statement Credit & More)

Update 1/10/22: 2022 benefits (e.g Platinum Elite IHG Status & $75 statement credit are now live)

According to Chase insider EosHuffer Chase is adding new benefits to the Chase United Club Infinite.

  • Starting now:
    • 10% discount on Economy & Saver awards within continental US and CAN
    • MileagePlus Premier upgrades for one companion on same reservation award tickets when possible
  • Starting 2022:
    • Free Platinum Elite IHG status
    • $75 statement credit for IHG purchases charged from January 1 – December 31 (2022 only)

I don’t see the starting now benefits officially listed yet, but I assume that will happen soon. The IHG benefits are somewhat surprising given the strong partnership between United & Marriott.

  • $75 statement credit for IHG is available for 2023 calendar year:

$75 IHG Credit: A statement credit will automatically be applied to your account when your card is used on purchases made at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties from 01/01/2022 through 12/31/2023, up to a maximum accumulation of $75 per calendar year. IHG properties include Regent® Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Alliance® Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo®, voco™ Hotels, Holiday Inn® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Holiday Inn Resort®, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, Atwell Suites™, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites®, EVEN® Hotels, avid™ hotels, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants and HUALUXE® Hotels & Resorts. Statement credit(s) will post to your account the same day your IHG purchase posts to your account and will appear on your monthly credit card billing statement within 1-2 billing cycles. Purchases posted to your account with a transaction date during the offer period are eligible for this offer, delays by the IHG property could extend the transaction date beyond the offer period. For example, if you pay for a stay at an IHG property, but the IHG property does not post the transaction until after 2022, the cost of the hotel stay will qualify for 2023, not qualify for 2022. To qualify for this statement credit, account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. This statement credit is non-transferable and applies only to the account of the primary cardmember referenced in this offer. Eligible credit cards: United ClubSM Infinite Card.

  • Has anyone tried to buy a 75$ gift card online or at an IHG property? I tried looking at flyer talk and no one has posted about this.

    • Yes, I stayed at Holiday Inn last Thursday and used the United Club card. I received the $75 statement credit as of today.

  • MileagePlus Premier upgrades for one companion on same reservation award tickets when possible
can someone explain what that means do i need to do something proactive other then booking the reservation? or do I wait for an email that tells me that me and my companion have been upgraded, thank you in advance to whover answers much appreciated

    • Look on the UA forum of flyer talk. In the past, had to split PNR at T-24 to get upgraded on award tix, but only worked if each pax had status AND their own UA Explorer/Club card. This worked for us on the way home from CUN early on New Year’s Day.

With the improved benefit on Club card, they *should* update system to process upgrades without splitting PNR

  • Man that looks like a bad card. Nice bonus but every priority pass lounge is better than most United clubs. And they’re trying to compete with Amex Plat for “hard to use benefits that you don’t need.”

    • I think this card is good for UA loyalists who actually fly a lot out of LAX, IAD given lack of Centurion lounge. Yes LAX has the TBIT Centurion Lounge but it’s too far away from T7/T8, and the LAX Club is always better than the other Clubs

    • It is essentially a 70k/ 0AF first year card if you pay the AF with miles. Now you add the benefits on top and it is certainly looking better than the Explorer or Quest cards.

      • I hadn't thought of paying the annual fee with miles. I always ignored this card because it's not worth anything close to $525 but I might consider it now.

With Uniteds dynamic awards I rarely get more than 1.3c per mile anyway, so no huge loss there.

        • That is true. Unless you live near a United hub, this card does not make much sense considering how hard it is to get more than 1cpp out of United miles these days.

        • On second thought, I rarely fly united so I won't use any of the benefits. Gonna pass on this one

  • How do you know when you'll get the 10% rebate as united doesn't publish an award chart anymore?
