Reposting as I don’t want readers to forget this might be the last chance for this card, along with the American Express Mercedes-Benz Platinum & Chase IHG card.
Update 02/11/18: Wells Fargo propel and Propel 365 are no longer available for sign up.
Update 02/08/18: Additionally according to a usually reliable source starting February 10th the Wells Fargo Propel and Propel 365 won’t be available for in branch sign ups (and I assume online) as they are being revamped. Wells Fargo Propel World will still be available until March 31st, 2018 when it will be discontinued.
The Wells Fargo Propel World card hasn’t been available for online applications for some time. It’s still possible to apply and get a 40,000 point bonus on this card either in branch or by phone. I’ve been encouraging readers to sign up for this offer for some time, as usually when a credit cards online links are pulled it’s not long for the world and points are worth 1¢ each and it also comes with $100 in annual travel reimbursements with a waived annual fee, giving you $500 in value first year. Reddit user unepoire just applied for the card over the phone and the rep had an issue finding the application & bonus, eventually the rep was able to find it but in the process they also found a memo that the product would be discontinued and the last day for applications would be March 31st, 2018.
Now obviously this is just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed, but I thought it was worth posting as I know readers get upset when they miss out on an opportunity to get a sign up bonus. This card is also listed on our best credit card bonus page, so even if it doesn’t disappear it really doesn’t hurt to get it sooner rather than later.

I see Wells Fargo Propel Card on its website offering 30k points with 0 AF. it gives 3X points for Purchases in categories Restaurants, Gas Stations, RIdeshare, Transit, Flight, Hotel, Car Rental, streaming services.
To me this looks like a better offer than 40k points with 175 annual fees, even with $100 incidental credit, One will have to remember to use it for incidentals plus will have to consider closing/downgrading after 1 year. The one with 0 AF can be kept for long without need of canceling or downgrading.
Is my thinking in right direction or I am missing something?

- according to phone rep, 2 cards discontinued: No-AF Propel & Propel 365
- was still able to apply on 3/31 on the phone for Propel World. Somewhat surprisingly, was instantly approved.

Will, I was able to call in and apply for the 40k bonus just today. Instant approval. The rep had no issue finding the offer and made no mention of if the card will be discontinued.

I also applied on the phone on Saturday 3/31/18, got approved instantly since my card count is at 3/24. I also applied for my Mom and Dad's cards. 3 other family members got this card less than 12 months ago, two of them got it around 11 months ago. I hope WF has a $400-600 reward card once they are past the WF 16 months threshold.
With this being an Amex card, does this count towards Amex's 5 card rule?
No, it definitely does not. It's only the amex payment network. It's not issued by amex.

I've debated ove the past few months and decided to pass on this. Going through last minute FOMO (fear of missing out) though. $400 plus travel credit for $3k spend, not bad but not exceptional. Is anyone else going back and forth? Anyone have compelling reasons to jump on this other than it's going away?
How many other credit cards gives $400+ to someone who is 5/24 and above? It's $600 including the airline credit. There is the BoA Premium that gives $500 minus $100 or 95 fee, Barclays used to give $400.
Let's not forget the $100 airline credit that you can get twice on this card without paying any annual fee (get the second credit after the anniversary, just after the AF posts, cancel within 60 days of AF).
I just signed up on phone yesterday and was instantly approved (I have kept my score at 3/24 for 1.5 yearsjust to save the spots). I also got my Mom's and Dad's applications in yesterday. Both of my sister's have it and so does my wife. I try to apply for each of us every 16 months, as soon as one is eligible.
Doesn’t BOA Premium Rewards also give you double dipped airline credits.

Perhaps you're thinking about some other card? The BoA Premium card hasn't been around for more than a year. A quick search shoes a doctorofcredit article about it from Sep 2017. I guess we'll have some reports by September of this year.
The cell phone insurance was incredible. I accidentally used it...meaning, I fucked up my phone and didn't even realize I paid my bill with the card the previous month.
Long story short, my phone was worth $200 on a good day. They sent me a check for $600.
Basically, this turned into a +$1,100 card for me very quickly.
Wink wink... You are always eligible in case of a damaged phone, just pay the next months bill using a WF card and then you're covered starting theonth after payment. However if it's stolen, uou don't want to file a false date police report.
Wow experience. Walked into a WF branch NW of Denver 3/30 Friday an hour before closing. Banker knew exactly what I was talking about and happily took my application. 40k after 3k spend, annual fee waived, $100 travel credit. Neither of us mentioned this will be discontinued soon. Surprised this was such an easy, quick, and pleasant experience. Do have WF checking from a past failed bonus attempt and current lightweight on cc apps at 3/24
