  • i have the 5$ off Starbucks and it works BUT after i finished shopping, outside the parking lot
this homeless person (probably scum) asked if i have a dollar.
i was planning to give her a dollar BUT there's no dollar bill in my wallet so i gave her 5$.
    so where's my savings ??

  • All 15 of my accounts either had the starbucks coupon or the $5 off $5 groceries coupon. Accounts that had the starbucks coupon, had the crappier 5 off 50 grocery coupon.

    • @guest_1166102 Just tried it at my local store. Coupon would not work properly. Only took off the cost of the lower priced item instead of taking off $5. Coupon worked correctly for me last time (two weeks ago).

  • Debit does NOT like Starbucks. Too much sugar or overpriced coffee.

Things debit hates: amazon, starbucks, and sometimes krispy kreme donuts.

  • I had a very odd experience with this one. I had this coupon loaded to my account, as well as a $5 off $5 purchase generic Safeway coupon. I made a purchase at the regular self service register and didn't get $5 off.

Then I went to Starbucks and made a purchase of $5.20 and my receipt showed a purchase of -$4.80.

Sure enough, my credit card statement shows a $6 purchase on the Safeway register, and a $4.80 credit from the Starbucks register. I have definitely never seen that before.

  • I did what seems to be the same offer, except it was in California, last Friday 3/12. Had the Safeway Just4U coupon loaded to my account. The starbucks in my safeway also had a chalkboard-written deal (Fridays only) of any 16oz drink + any pastry for $5. The cashier seemed to think it would work, even though the coupon fine print says it won't work with other offers, so we tried. He rang them up, total was about $8.30. I entered my phone number for the J4U and the price came down to zero. Did not pay anything, and got a frappucino and croissant probably worth at least $1.50.

  • I don't drink coffee, so I usually ignore Star Bucky's. If I am reading all this right, I can buy a breakfast sandwich or something for over $5.00, and get $5 off the total?

  • Looks like people are experiencing differently with this coupon. My experience is this coupon works with one item if your total is over $5 and it takes maybe the lower priced items off. However, the add-ons does not matter. So for example if you get a coffee + a pastry, totaling over $5, it will take the pastry off, probably around $3. However, if you get a coffee with extra add-on, like syrup or extra shot, it takes $5 off.

  • Must be targeted. I am an avid Just4U user at Safeways in Maryland. I did not receive this offer. Regarding Just4U, since COVID started, the number of Just4U offers has greatly decreased. I used to be able to buy a week's worth of groceries using Just4U exclusively. Now I may find a 1/2 dozen items each week. Too bad these chains are still very profitable but not passing as many savings on to loyal customers as pre-COVID.
