Our Verdict

Disney will be a popular option. It’s Disney+ not Disney unfortunately. Stack with Chase Offer and shopping portal.

  • Presumably can stack with the YMMV Chase 10% off Sam's Club offer. Not good for me b/c I pay with my Amex that gets the $7 back on the Disney+ bundle, but could be good for other folks.

    • RetailMeNot. (7/retailer/mo, 20 total/mo). Also possibly Ibotta atm? But they have me a lower rate for a Black Friday sale gc purchase, so

  • anyone know the disney gift card works to purchase orlando disney magic kingdom tickets online? thanks

    • I usually buy gift cards at Target when there is a rotating category (current quarter is 5% Discover or 5% Chase Freedom through PayPal).

You can also do Shop Disney with PayPal. Not the biggest saving, but 5% is 5%.

    • The gift cards are for Disney+, the streaming service, not the park. Post isn't clear on that.

And for those that have the Sams offer on Chase, this could be another 10% off.

      • yeah says that, was thinking of a holiday in orlando in first week of jan . disney ticket is like $180 tax for one day one person. no deal on disney orlando.

        • Did you try undercovertourist? Legit Disney authorized site...always discounted tickets and now they have cyber Monday deals as well. The 180 ticket is likely 160+tax there. AND they allow cancellation as well with either 5% fee for refunds or 0 fee is rebooking.

        • While it isn't this deal, regular Disney gift cards do work at all the parks and for tickets. I find Sam's has one of the best overall deals on them though not as good as this. They have the cards at about 4% off all time and then I stack discounts by either buying a visa/mastercard gift card at office supply stores when they are fee free using my Ink cash card for 5x points (which is worth about 10% at Hyatts near the park). If you don't have an Ink cash card you can still use whatever deals are offered for shopping at Sam's on other cards plus the cash back or points you get on that card.

        • If your employer is a corporate alliance with Disney (AT&T, Alamo, etc.) you get fairly decent ticket discounts

          • yes , ticketsatwork, on walt disney tickets, the price is same as normal price and they add extra fees on top of charges which makes their price more than disney's oficial website price. bad! watch out for the fees on top of tax they charge, fee comes to $15 per person or something.

  • Any good way to leverage the Disney+ gift cards. Was reading that you can’t use them for annual sub which lowers the potential cost savings.

    • Does Disney+ even offer an annual sub? I only see monthly options since they introduced the ads plan.

      • Yes, it's hard to find but it's there.

I canceled my annual subscription and will probably go with the hulu/disney w/ ads monthly version for now.

  • It looks like its a Disney+ Giftcard and not Disney. From looking online it appears you can only use it on streaming services. Can anyone confirm if you can use it at Park?
