Our Verdict
Previous best offer was $200. Card is really only worth it for the sign up bonus as lots of other card earns at high rates for everyday purchases. This is an attractive offer if you’ve interested in cash offers though and will add it to our best credit card bonus page. As always please read this post on everything you should know about American Express cards.

if we do this just for the elevated sub and dont use it much again after, I assume that will put us in amex pop up jail for other amex cards?
I didn't need to unfreeze my credit and got approved. Maybe i have an AMx card already?
Approved.
7/24.
Fico's low 800s.
$53k/yr salary.
One other amex card everyday whatever.
$15k limit.
Anyone know can this card be product changed into Schwab Platinum? May sign up for this card and upgrade to platinum if possible
Nope
Went through application process and if you have ever had this card you will not qualify for the bonus.
My recent lines and 5/24 are worth more than $300 to me via other means
I signed up for this card on 8/28/24 and got the $200 bonus on 10/20/24. Do you think it would be worth it to call them and see if I could get the extra $100 since it was within 3 months?
If not that's heartbreaking lol
Nope, Amex doesn't match offers (you get what you applied for) -- they'll deny you even if you applied a day before
Why is it that when you wait, the offer disappears but when you dont wait and do it, the offer comes back as better than before :)

I did the no-impact-to-credit-score eligibility check, which stated I am not eligible. I brazenly ignored it and proceeded to apply, and was immediately approved, got the confirmation email quickly, too. I didn't change anything between the eligibility check and the application. 🤷
