- Southwest is offering a companion pass (that is good from 1/6/2022 – 2/28/2022) when you register for the promotion and purchase a round trip or two one way flights by 9/9 and travel by 11/18
The Fine Print
- Member must register for this promotion, purchase one round trip or two one-way revenue flights between September 7, 2021 and September 9, 2021 for travel that must be completed between September 7, 2021 and November 18, 2021
- Registration must be completed prior to booking and commencement of travel
- A qualifying one-way flight for this promotion is a one-way revenue flight on Southwest Airlines® from an origin city to a destination city, including any intermediate stops and/or connections on Southwest Airlines. A qualifying round trip flight for this promotion is a round trip revenue flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city and back to the originating airport or carrier-recognized co-terminal.
- This includes domestic and international revenue flights booked in any fare family (Wanna Get Away®, Anytime, or Business Select®)
- The Member’s Rapid Rewards account number must be entered at the time of booking the Member’s qualifying flight
- Charter flights, group travel, Southwest Vacations® packages, and reservations made using Rapid Rewards points do not qualify for this promotion
- Changes made to the itinerary after purchase may eliminate qualification for promotion

Requirements are easy to meet, but the companion pass isn’t good for that long unfortunately.

Got my companion pass today and was able to add someone on my existing booking.
I haven't received mine yet. In December I confirmed over Messenger it should appear today so now im back in the chat waiting for a response.
Did anybody get their companion pass yet? I booked and flew a roundtrip after registering, but haven't seen anything yet. Account says nothing about earning offer.
I chatted with an agent, and he told me that I earned the pass, and it will be awarded on January 6th.
Second this. I haven't gotten anything from southwest regarding it. Trying to book a flight beginning of next year.
Got my email that I earned a promotional companion pass yesterday! Although, it looks like SW won't let me add my companion until 1/6. :(

Would changing a previously booked flight work, or would we have to cancel and rebook?
Canceled an upcoming flight and rebooked. Saved $3 on the flight…..hopefully this works. Thanks for posting.

I wonder if we could buy a ticket with our unfortunately barely used companion pass expiring 12/31 to earn this additional 2 months for a 2nd trip. It would make it worth paying cash instead of using points.
That’s not a “revenue trip”
Whoever has the pass could earn it for additional time and still add a companion to this flight
I bought Wanna Get Away ticket partly using Travel Fund/ Voucher. Does a mix cash payment count as Cash ticket, thus qualify for this special offer CP?
travel fund or southwest gift card qualifies. only thing that doesn't count is points bookings
