The Fine Print

Our Verdict

Free night offers are probably the best, although I know some people chasing status love the double night/stays offer as well. Unfortunately most people will get no offer at all. As always, please make sure to share your offer in the comments below!

  • I got the "double elite-qualifying nights and stays."

    Worthless offer as I'm Gold from the Amex Platinum card, and no way I'll ever hit SPG Platinum.

  • You have the right points for the offer I got, but I got different dates:

    " Now you can earn up to 7,500 bonus Starpoints® on eligible stays between September 15, 2017, and December 15, 2017."

  • Me and my SO got this
    "Register by November 15, 2017, and you’ll earn double elite-qualifying credit on all your stays between September 15, 2017, and December 15, 2017 — with no earning limits."

  • New to SPG. I got:
    You’re all set to earn up to 7,500 bonus Starpoints® when you complete two eligible stays between August 1, 2017, and October 31, 2017. Here’s how it works:
    First stay earns 2,500 Starpoints + Second stay earns 5,000 Starpoints
    = MAXIMUM BONUS 7,500 Starpoints

  • Looks like a LOT of us got the spg door slammed in our face:

    "Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this specific promotion."

    Yes, I'm fairly new to SPG -- have their card now. Yet in a decade of this travel game, I've never stayed with SPG -- ever. (sic) Guessing I'll be transferring my 40k points to an airline deal. (and staying with competitors instead. Yes, sour grapes. :-)
