Stacking Amazon Prime Day Device Deals With Shop-With-Point Deals

We’ve written about the various shop-with-points deals on Amazon which give up to 50% off your purchase and up to $80 off. In our main Prime Day 2023 post (constantly updated) we’ve written about many deals on Amazon devices, such as on Fire tables, Fire TV, Ring doorbells, Echo devices, and more.

Interestingly, the way it’s working right now is that the shop-with-points discount percentage comes off the original price, not the actual price. For example, if there’s a Fire tablet marked down from $100 to $50, and you have a shop-with-points deal for 40% off, you’ll get 40% discount off $100, or $40 discount. And so you’ll get $40 discounted off the $50 price, and you’ll end up paying just $10.

We mentioned this briefly yesterday and I thought  it worth highlighting in a separate post. Someone trying to use up these shop-with-points deals can potentially turn them into nearly free devices. This might work on some other Amazon Prime Day discounts as well, please let us know how you use this stack.

Below are some deals that the above-mentioned stack should work with, potentially making them free or nearly free. Just double check everything at checkout to ensure it’s working properly. (affiliate links below)

  • Got this to work for the new Echo dots. With the discount and using 1 point, they were otherwise free. Just tried it again on a Lego set with a Prime Day deal and it doesn't seem to be working anymore...

  • My Amex Membership Rewards offer is "Get 15% off eligible products when using a minimum of 714 Membership Rewards points. Maximum discount $15." Ew.

  • Can't wait to pay Amazon to record me. Also fyi, the chase $60 cannot be refunded on return orders.

  • The Chase Deal stacks with the iPad 9th Generation, which is going for $269.99. There was also a $20 Extra Savings (YMMV?), which stacked with the Chase $60 discount and brought the subtotal to $189.99.
