Our Verdict
Don’t think you can resell the dining out cards and the Sephora cards aren’t profitable for resale, but both deals should be useful for every day use. Use a credit card that earns at a high rate on office supply store purchases. Keep in mind the American Express SimplyCash might no longer be earning 5% on Staples.

same thing happened to me; so I bought it as a guest and I got the $40 deal
Bought dining out last time, haven’t used yet. Fine print on website says can’t use on alcohol at Cheesecake Factory FYI.
