First time seeing this - at least 7 cards didn't have numbers printed on the front?? I been doing this for almost a decade and have seen fraud issues but I've never seen cards printed without numbers before. Anyone else experience this??
i guess MO at WM is dead for good..RIP
These work on MO at WM MC?
Picked up 4 cards with no problem
need help in liquidating, now that got approved for ink cash 7500 offers x 2.
Find a local credit union in your area that allows a high opening deposit amount via credit card. In my area, I have 2 options that allow $5k funding and Chase codes as a purchase. @guest_1099845
Don’t credit unions charge fees?
Not the ones I've used for opening accounts. You have to deposit a nominal amount for membership that is repaid when you close the account.
Can add to PayPal, then use Scan and Pay to pay person 2. There is no fee till end of 2020. Person 2 can transfer fund back to bank account.
May I have a question? So, person 1 and person 2 both must have paypal APP in their phones? And then scan? Thank you
Seems like this may cause P2 to get audited by the IRS since scan and pay is supposed to be for goods and services.
adding MC cards to paypal is a pain. they require the card to be verified, which means you have to log into that horrible GCM website, and then wait several days for the verification charge to drop off.
Is it different for visa?
Yes, although you might have to register them first (I do for all of them). No verification payment needed for VGC
anyone's paypal acct got shutdown for regularly doing that?
Tried adding to PayPal and card was declined.
Need to try twice to have it add to paypal. The second time it will go through but it will send a $1.95 verification charge with a 4 digit code to the account that you need to verify. The hold drops off in a few days so you'd need to wait 3-4 days if you want to send the entire amount.
I was able to add the card using this method, but there is still the transaction fee of 2.9% +.30 to send of receive using Paypal.
Tried and it works for me. The verification transaction show instantly.
I was able to add Visa gift card purchased from Staples to PayPal last week.
Today, I purchased a Master GC from Staples. Registered, checked balance, setup PIN. Then added it to PayPal. PayPal stated "Card was added successfully", however, there is a message "There is an issue with your card" next to the card. I clicked the message, it initiated a 1.95 charge on the card (will refund later). It will show on the card in 3-5 days, I need to verify a code on that transaction to use the card. Will report back how this goes.
If it is visa gift card. Do I need to register and set PIN first to link on PayPal? TIA.
wowowowowow Thanks Max for the tip this is enticing ! Anyone else have tried ?
Has anyone successfully run a MetaBank Mastercard through WM (using the change payment trick of course) since the major issues cropped with Meta VGC earlier this month?
As of 11/28, yes. Change payment, select debit and enter PIN before cashier puts total amount. If cashier puts total amount at any point before then it converts back to credit and declines.
Thanks, does it have to be the last card that's to be swiped?
I thought the card reader prompts you after the total is established.
Glad to hear that, thanks for the update. It's unfortunate that suddenly the pia MC's suddenly look a lot more interesting!
@guest_1099114 that step has been like that for a while... still load only $99 to prepaid accts
my store never have any for sale
According Amex CS, giftcard purchases do NOT count toward the spending requirements for new cards. Is the information correct?
I would not buy them at retailers that report L3 data to Amex, like Staples. In regards to other places that sell gift cards it would be up to your risk tolerance.
Yes
any folks is still able to load $200 with 1 swipe to BB @ WM?
