Is the promo still active? I can only see $25 Amazon gift cards while booking.
I guess not, unfortunately. I also thought I had until end of April to book.
Vancouver, Washington???
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Can you get Globalist/Titanium breakfast or late checkout benefits for the Hyatt/Marriotts?
Yes. These bookings are not considered OTA bookings but rather direct.
Wow these are not cheap rooms! Tested the waters by trying a 2 night weekend booking in April at the Hampton Inn ($200) gift card. Final price was nearly US $900 / CA 1200 with a really hefty taxes and fees subsection.
Unless you're already set on a visit for work for family or something -- Pass.
There's availability at hotels for less than 200CAD per night in February (so >50% off with gift card). The further you go into March and April, the less good of a deal this is.
Of course two days too late for one of the biggest investment conferences in Canada.

EH!
Do you get this in Canadian dollars? What's the conversion rate?
Looking for this info too. It is a shame that exchange rates are not posted on the Internet, or accessible via search engines.
Haha good one. But to P’s 1st question, consensus is the MC is issued in CAD, which makes total sense since it IS Canada.
Done this before with the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver, no Elite Nights but you can still use ur globalist benefits. Usually Stay in Vancouver rates are a bit higher.
I received elite nights at Marriott through this promotion. You should have received elite nights at Hyatt as well. I'd call the Hyatt Regency to confirm before the next time you book.
No elite nights, you say? :(
I was under an impression that Stay Vancouver's staff manually made a traditional booking via Hyatt. Guess not?
I'm not sure. Last time I did they did not include Elite Nights but still gave me breakfast for free. This was during 2021 when the country was closed till the fall.

I assume elite status benefits don't work booking through this platform?
They do
