Update 7/11/23: Deal is back today, July 11
Update 7/7/22: There is more info and it’s 50 subs per store. Hat tip to reader jonathan R
Contents
The Offer
- Subway is giving away one million 6 inch subs on 7/12 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. local time.
Our Verdict
The give away is to celebrate the launch of Subway Series sandwiches, 12 sandwiches that have preset ingredients. The new subs are as follows:
- Cheesesteaks: #1 The Philly, #2 The Outlaw™, #3 The Monster™
- Italianos: #4 Supreme Meats, #5 Bella Mozza, #6 The Boss
- Chicken: #7 The MexiCali, #8 The Great Garlic™, #9 The Champ™
- Clubs: #10 All-American Club®, #11 Subway Club®, #12 Turkey Cali Club™
It’s unclear how the give away will actually function (is it the first 1 million people? Does each store have a set amount of free subs?)

Subway Announces Footlong Cookies — and Is Giving Them Out for Free on Monday (msn.com)
The graphic and the text of this post are incorrect. I went all the way to the Subway only to be told the promotion was July 11 not July 12 and I had missed it.
The graphic is from last year, July 12, 2022.
Went and got my 6-inch free. The cashier looks angry when I asked. lol
I would not trust this offer because when I did the buy one footlong, get another footlong they would not even honor that. Waste of time!
Not all locations participate in all promotions. That's why there's a list here of participating locations.
If you order online, you can find out ahead of time whether a promo works at a particular location.
This was posted so late that it's pointless for most of the country, since it's only for a 2-hour window like last year. And that's assuming you're near a store that even participates.
I had a 6 inch with a coupon earlier this year. Afterwards, I felt like I ate a side and needed an entree. The calories in this are so low quality that this isn’t even worth it.
use code FLBOGO. Two footlongs for the price of one, that should be enough food.
I thought the last day for that was yesterday
Subway free 6" live now ET. Must mention promo! @chucksithe @chucksithe

Thanks, reposted
@chucksithe I wish y'all wouldn't always reuse old posts. Your website showed the wrong date of 7/12 because that was last year's date. I didn't check this before it expired today. I know this is merely an inconvenience at worst, but I wanted to pass on my thoughts.

I agree with you that sometimes they miss updating the summary, but having the old comments handy is sometimes pretty useful.
The update clearly states: 'Update 7/11/23: Deal is back today, July 11'. Did you just read it on the homepage? Tbh if we didn't repost this we would have just missed this deal entirely
Yes, I only read the homepage because I didn’t have time in the middle of the work day to read about a deal I thought was the next day. The update didn’t show up on the homepage summary.
Again, an inconvenience and a personal annoyance to me.
We can definitely make more of an effort to update the summary as well
Sorry about that. We typically only update the top line when reposting. We sometimes do it when it makes more sense and sometimes when we're just short on time.
Anytime there is an AD for something free... stay away!
Waste of time. The one remaining Subway location in my area (after two others closed) had a sign up on the door that they were not participating in the promotion.
They had good deal of $5 foot-long in the past year. However I personally don’t like their too crispy bread that heated for 1 minute in the oven. Quite a few vegetables added. A 6-inch can’t make me feel full :(
