Our Verdict

We’ve written about a similar Public investing offer from Swagbucks, and they’ve now added the bundle deal which makes it more lucrative. Note: it’s possible doing the Savvy insurance quote will result in some spam; consider using a backup email address and Google Voice number, etc. Opening a new investment app might also mean an additional tax form to deal with at tax time.

Reader YTHO notes that there’s also an offer from Chime to get $20 if you fund your Public account with the Chime debit card.

If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.

  • @chucksithe you should do a piece on Tornado, another brokerage on Swagbucks. I got $30 from "education" through their app $10 for signing up, and $30 of swagbucks pending. Seems like an easy $70 available now.

    • Fyi the in app SUB and learn to earn are locked for a year. Also I believe you should be able to get $50 in learn and earn, that's what I got

        • @guest_1272186 @guest_1243556 i downloaded Tornado through Swagbucks a week ago after seeing your comments.. now I can't remember.. to get the Swagbucks are we required to do anything with the account like deposit or trade?

        • Treat it as a one year loan with $4.99 monthly payments. Hopefully you can buy a stock that can beat that

          • @guest_1272186 so you pay no monthly fee and you have $50 waiting for you in 1 year? I'm trying to follow this comment thread but I haven't done the deal yet so trying to decide if I should jump on board

          • @guest_1272325 I got charged the fee just 9 days in (I was waiting to withdraw my principal, buy an index stock, and then ask to go to per trade fees) so I messaged them and asked to change to a per trade fees and a refund and they granted both. Guess I'll just let my $60 sit there for a year.

          • Cool! I asked them so quickly I never had the first post. So weird a brokerage in 2021 charges monthly fees.

  • Did this through MP on 8/24. 1700pts for Savvy and 6000pts for Public went pending immediately on 8/24. Today, I submitted ticket for missing 5,300 bonus points for doing both offers. They responded with posting the 5,300pts for Public+Savvy bonus. plus a second 6000pts for Public. ?? Not complaining on this one. They did miss to pay for the Sunbasket + Stash offer back in June. Got the Stash points, but they never paid for Sunbasket and the bonus of that offer.

  • Anyone else not receive the 3,000 SB bonus yet? It said it should have posted by 8/27/2021. Both the Savvy and the Public offers show as pending, but still no bonus points.

  • Does anyone get the bonus points for completing these offers on Mypoints? As far as I remember they said they would award in August.

  • Can't find it on MP, link goes to an error page. Did it on SB, both offers went pending immediately.

  • Savvy requires your current insurance account log in, if you manually select to match, mypoints would not track. It seems that registration to Savvy means you giving your insurance account ID and password to Savvy, is it true to who already did this offer?

      • Same here. Savvy, I think, will only work for those insurance providers that it partners with. I am with State Auto and it's not in their list of insurance partners that allows Savvy to login and retrieve the insurance information automatically.

  • Last time I did Savvy on Mypoints it didn't track and today I tried it again this time with my phone and like someone mentioned I received an email from Mypoints for pending bonus as soon as I linked my Geico account. Public offer is not pending yet though.
