Our Verdict

You can see this guide for more info on how to complete this offer. Looks like it takes many hours and is probably not worth it for the moneymaker alone. Feel free to share your thoughts or experiences in the comments below.

  • I did this @ 11k points on SwagBucks on Android. Reached lvl 21 on day 30. Had to reach out to support to get it credited, but they were prompt about providing all without complaint.

  • Did this at $105, took me 20 days. Getting the 2nd builder for $5 (which you get refunded double for in SB) is helpful. Just do all the daily events as best you can, keep building/researching constantly, speed things up with Latinum or use your speedups when useful (especially if it would help you win/rank in an event). Join a higher ranked alliance to benefit from their help/boosts. No ads is a big plus.

I actually spent way more time on this than I thought, but it was actually really fun. There are just so many different areas to manage -- going to attack hostiles, mining, exploring, missions, away team management, time-limited event management, etc. that until you get close & can see the promised land of level 21 you could easily spend 1+ hour meaningfully playing it & making progress.

FWIW I rarely needed to do any mining outside of clearing events or for missions -- the mission rewards, free battle pass event rewards & daily event rewards are more than enough to keep you going. When I bounced after 21 I donated millions of each resource to my alliance and still had like 10m tritanium which you can't donate. I don't think I ever did more than a couple of introductory faction missions.

Previously played (for fun) Guns of Glory, which was a Kingdom of Avalon clone, for those that are familiar with those. If you've done other SB offers, this is WAY more time consuming than Empire & Puzzles which has a similar "get to level 21" point and is another citybuilder.

  • I swore to myself that I would never do another one of these game deals where you have to spend a decent chunk of money and several hours of game time (minimum) to try and reach a certain level. I am doing my best to listen to my past self and not give in again. These deals become perfect examples of sunk cost fallacy very quickly.

    • yeah, depends very heavily on the game imo. sucks when you run out of resources from your pack and have to push your way through...

      • Especially when you get to the higher levels and it is literally impossible to finish even if you spent 24/7 playing and then are are stuck trying to figure out if you should risk dumping more money into it or just forget it.

        • yeah, i think in that case when it's really impossible at the level required, the good thing is only the one person has to make that mistake and warn others off. i think the ones where even after research it's up in the air if you'll pull through or hit a wall are worse personally, lol

i've tried promising to myself that i'll always either go into the game offers either when it's an avowed slam dunk (relatively speaking) or to be the one to try to crack it, with the understanding that it might be more time than it's worth...works for the most part. i like these builder games, because they don't really vary from person to person or by time of day like a slots game etc might. they seem to be more or less straightforward

      • @guest_1507991 mypoints is 19000 points which is roughly $122 and mypoints has a extra bonus right now of 1275, about $8, for completing the star trek offer.

I don't have My points. Is it as easy to convert to cash into bank account without the bullshit of Rakuten that demands $5 minimum and has a quarters they'll only deliver and to paypal?

How do you get the bonus for extra $8?

That's annoying they don't use a 1:1 for points. I really hate when companies do that. I do see they have a $5 sign up bonus. Not great. Wish I could get that as cash vs a $5 Amazon gift card or Visa gift card.

          • Having to take into consideration the payout method is just part of the game for any sort of rewards site or shopping portal I think. At least portals let you redeem exact amounts!

MyPoints is more or less a SB clone. They have the same payout methods I believe. for Paypal MyPoints points are worth about .63 cents per point, and for virtual card they're 2/3 of a cent per point, putting most MyPoints offers higher than the SB equivalent (not sure about other Prodege sites)

  • Joined on February 10 and *finally* completed the highest tier on March 6. Good news: all the level rewards credited promptly. Bad news: my girlfriend is very annoyed with me as the game took a lot of babysitting. I didn't pay for anything besides the second builder, which gives a separate points bonus on MyPoints (had to submit a ticket for that - still waiting as of March 11).

Just FYI going in, it has the potential to be very, very time-consuming if you aren't paying to speed it up. Someone could probably do the offer much more quickly by optimizing everything, but I wasn't able to recreate some of the optimal paths due to continuous refreshing of the gameplay (I assume). I may have also just missed it though, so YMMV. It's not a very fun or interesting game IMO so it may start to feel like a chore fairly quickly if you don't plan ahead.

    2/10: Started playing
    2/10: bought second builder pack
    2/19: Level 12 points post
    2/24: Level 17 points post
    3/7: Level 21 points post

Submitted a ticket for the builder pack on 3/7 and am still waiting on March 11.

    • Very similar experience, including the annoyed girlfriend. I found it kind of fun but it became repetitive. I found that setting timers for the tasks using Siri on the Apple Watch would help me check in at the right times and spend the least time playing it. As long as you focus on leveling Operations at all times and complete all the prerequisites you’ll get what you need done in time.

It didn’t credit automatically for me so I had to do a lot of back and forth with SB Support with screenshots to get the Second Builder Unlock credit and all the level credits but I got Level 21 done about 29 days after starting.

  • I recently took this up (just shy of a month ago) and am not optimistic about finishing in time to get the top tier of the offer. I'm generally pretty OCD about this sort of thing, and have put a lot of time and effort into it, along with using it during work hours, but it's just been too much by a decent margin (I'm upgrading to Level 20 at this point). So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you're going to dedicate a ton of resources to it (beyond the $100-ish top value). Just fair warning since I regret it...

    • And just to note, I have yet to receive any payout at Level 19 even when I was careful about the signup process.

  • Been doing this offer on mypoints. Almost at level 15 on the 3rd day of playing. Haven't spent any money yet. In the past day there's been a lot of events to get latinum(gold) which I use for speedups and resources if I don't have enough, it allowed me to go from lv10 to lv14 quickly.

    Day 1: lv1 - lv9
    Day 2: lv10 - lv14
    Day 3: almost at lv15

I do think going from lv15 to lv19 will take a week still but we'll see.

    • Day 11: Spent $15 today to level up and it credited once I reached level 19. It would have taken me 4 extra days to level up from 18-19 if I didn't buy the packs that gave me enough speed ups.

  • If you did this on mypoints, double check your reward for the level 21 tier. They only gave me 1,300 points instead of 13,000.
