Our Verdict
You’ll also get $5 in partial stock from Public when signing up making this a $45 moneymaker. I don’t usually sign up with financial institutions for a bonus of this amount, but it should be an easy moneymaker and some people might be interested in trying out the app as well.

If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.
Post history:
- Update 3/15/21: This has now been increased from to 2,000SB/$20 (previously $15). Add the $5 from the app and it ends up a $25 moneymaker. (You can alternatively use MyPoints for 3,400 points which is worth around $21.)

The Public app now has a Learn & Earn feature, similar to Coinbase Earn. Read a few pages and answer questions, and it gives you a free stock slice ($2 or $1). I currently see 4 of them, $2+2+1+1. It's on the Explore page (magnifying glass). If you get a question wrong you can guess again. For the stock slices, it shows you a few stocks you can choose from that are related to the lesson.
Nice little perk! Thanks for letting us know, @guest_1330846
Can the PPK funding be used to meet the sign up spend requirements for a new credit card? I tried a small amount which codes as "Shopping" but I'm not sure how tolerance Chase will be.
Swagbucks is dragging its feet on the 5000 Swagbucks.
Wants a screenshot showing email address.
Makes no sense.
This is an investing app.
If I don't anything, I am going to pull my $5 out.
Just received an email about the slightly better referral bonus till March 31st: both parties can get up to $1,000 in free stock.

What are the referral tiers?
I received the email offer as well. No tiers. Perhaps targeted?
I got the email too about "up to $1,000 in free stock" but it doesn't have details. My guess is that it gives you a random amount of stock, like before, but the upper end of the range for the value of the stock is now $1000.
I could not find it. No link to referral terms in the email. The app still points me to this referral program page (https://help.public.com/en/articles/2711925-public-referral-program) that hasn't been updated yet. But it is mentioning $4-$70 stock, not $3-$300 free stock. Maybe this upped referral program is targeted?
Down to 3500SB/$35 today. :-/
An update on trying to withdraw funds, first they asked for a bank statement and drivers license upload, did that, then a Paypal statement upload, did that, now they want a statement from the credit card used to fund Paypal because they say, "We see Paypal was a conduit for this funding". Luckily the statement on my new Ink card closes tonight so I can get that to them soon. What a nightmare.
After sending the statement from my Ink to them they removed all the restrictions and re-enabled transfers for me. I got 5k of PPK funding for my Ink from this, on top of the $300 stock (I got lucky) awarded from Public and $65 from Swagbucks. It was still worth it for me even thought I had to jump through all the security hoops when I tried to transfer funds out.
Wow you got $300 stock. That's really lucky. I got $3. Freaking $3 work of AMZN stock
I'm getting the following error when I try to add PPK to my Public account: "Unable to link your debit card
It looks like we can’t link a debit card to your account."
Got a question for those who have deposited with PayPal Key.. will it let you make multiple deposits? Or do you only get to deposit one time? I saw people say "opening deposit" that's why I'm confused. I'm planning to use Bank of America 3% cards (3% up to $2,500 per quarter).. so I'm thinking to do 2x deposits of $2,500. is it allowed? @guest_1330529
I am a bit concerned about the reports in the comments of Public asking for "statements" of the PPK account in order to process their withdrawal.. I mean obviously PPK doesn't have statements.. so are people just submitting screenshots of the charges on their credit card and is it accepted?
@guest_1330614 Yes, you can do multiple deposits. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/swagbucks-get-15-when-signing-up-for-public-investing-app-5-in-stocks/#comment-1330909
Your monthly PayPal statement shows the PPK charges
I clicked on the SB link while the $65 offer was valid and created an account, but never funded it. Then the offer disappeared from SB, so I didn't try again. Just checked SB, and it shows that my offer is pending. Does that mean that I'll get the points even though I didn't actually fund it? I'm not very familiar with SB, and there are no points showing with the Pending flag.
BTW, the offer is currently $35.
I couldn’t fund through PayPal Key during opening but now I can five days later.
