Update 7/2/21: Increased to 7,500 SB (from 5,000)
The Offer
- Swagbucks is offering 7,500 SB (worth $75) when you click through their link to create your Venmo business profile. Must then make a transaction on Venmo in order to be eligible for the Swagbucks bonus.
The Fine Print
- SB distributed by Swagbucks not by Venmo. Venmo is not a sponsor of, nor responsible for, and does not endorse the Swagbucks program. For questions about this offer, please contact Swagbucks directly.
- SB will appear as Pending for 32 days.
- Must create a Venmo Business Profile through the Swagbucks affiliate link.
- Must enter valid sign-up information and business information to earn SB.
- Must make your first business transaction to earn SB.
- Offer may only be redeemed once (1) per user.
- This offer is presented to you by Swagbucks on behalf of a third-party merchant or sponsor (“Merchant”). Swagbucks does not endorse (and therefore is not responsible to you for) the Merchant’s views, policies, products or services. Have questions? Please contact the Swagbucks Help Center. If you are not credited within 32 days of offer completion, you have 14 days to contact the Swagbucks Help Center for further investigation. Help Center tickets submitted after the 14 day grace period are not eligible for further investigation and SB.
Our Verdict
Looks like it’s free to set up a Venmo business profile; seems like an easy $50 moneymaker. The terms say you need to make a transaction on the business profile – not sure if sending money would work to fulfill this requirement or it needs to be only receiving money as a business (no fees the first month). Let us know if you try.

I haven't been able to find the offer through the link or elsewhere for a couple weeks, is it expired? I hoped there might be a new url but I doubt it.
Finally got credited after opening a ticket and having them randomly respond to it out of the blue. Wish I could say the same for the Varo deal.
filed claim as soon as the SB app would let me (5 days): used the venmo transaction ID for order number. used the venmo transaction amount for order amount. 7500 manually credited a few hours after submission. Preemptively submitted the following screenshots from my iPhone on the ticket email thread:
1. venmo offer screenshot
2. venmo "open in app" screenshot
3. venmo transaction screenshot
I filed one after 5 days as well and got a long rambling response about how SB only gives credit as a "curtesy" and will not do it every time and how they don't get paid if it doesn't track, etc. It was the dumbest letter I have seen in a long long time. Very unprofessional. I just followed up on my original ticket since it has now been over 32 days.
+1 for this approach. Did exact same. Received response from Swagbucks within 15mins and 7500SB posted.
@guest_1219097 where do you see the transaction id? I don't see it on the Venmo app or the Venmo transaction email. I asked P2 to send money to the business profile
Thanks
Edit - got it. It was on sender Venmo app
thanks op.
@guest_1219097 @guest_1220454 Where exactly are you filing a claim at? The SB help center? Creating a new ticket? I don't see any input fields for "order number" or "order amount".
use the app--go to activity tab and then 'visited'. click your visit and then file a claim under "have an issue? contact customer support"
should actually be "purchase order #" and "subtotal"
@guest_1219097 @guest_1220454 Where exactly are you submitting this claim? Is it a help center ticket request? I do not see any input fields for "order number" or "order amount".
Filed a ticket last night with the confirmation email from Venmo, a screenshot showing my transactions, and a screenshot of my pending trial length and got the 5000 sb credit this morning
How long did you wait before you filed the ticket?
32 days
just made a bus profile, and had P2 pay to that profile $3. Received $2.85 afgter .15 fee subtracted - lol, dont they say now fees for the the 30 days?
This is confusing!
When signing up using the SB link it opens a browser. Only a *personal* account can then be created. It is thereafter necessary to login to the personal account in the mobile app to create the business account. Of course, this will not track via SB!!
There is also the option to create a business account directly from the app. However, how can we use the SB ink to open the app rather than the browser?
how do we create a business for this account? is it free? is there a link that someone can point me to. TIA!
@guest_1201070 ,
See my post on 7/3. I believe that the only way to create a business account is from the app. However, that will not track with SB because their link only directs to a web browser.
What were they (SB) thinking...??
Brilliant move by Swagbucks. I've been screwed by them a number of times.
Also here's another DP:
P1:
clicked the link through Swagbucks and couldn't see where I can create a business account so I went onto my mobile app and created there. I let my wife send me $5 to the business I just created. I submitted a ticket after 1~2 days and they credited me within 1 hour.
P2:
The same thing above but with my wife's account. As always, the SB didn't track so I submitted a ticket and they said to wait 32 days until it credits.
??
well, thanks for the free 5000SB (potentially 10000SB in a month) Swagbucks/DoC!
Did she send the $5 from just a bank account? Do we really have to have a business or just make up one?
Glad to be able to help
Now at 7500 SB
@guest_1201082 Does one need real business? Do they ask for proof and papers? Or is it like business credit card, where we are all businessmen!
I made one as a sole proprietorship and made transactions back and forth. I havent heard of anyone getting automatic credit though and tickets mostly say to wait the full amount.

@guest_1201082 @guest_1201078 Will we hit 10000 SB?!?
Sorry for trivial question;, but I have never used Venmo.
How does P2 pay my new Venmo business account - or vice versa? I see no way to pay using a web browser. Do we need to use the App? Can we pay with $0 balance or do we need to transfer $0 from the bank first? Is it free when using a debit card?
BTW, I don't see that the credit card fees are waived for the first 30 days...?
