Update 5/17/21: Deal is back, only need to spend $10 this time. Not sure if there are any items that fall into that.
Update 2/28/21: New offer now is for 4,000 Swagbucks or 6,500 MyPoints with $25 purchase (use promo code GRAB15 for 15% off). Should be ~$19 moneymaker now. Looks like a new offer, so should be possible to do again if you did one of the previous offers (?). Not as much of a moneymaker as previous deals, maybe it’ll go higher at some point. Hat tip to reader RM
Update 12/20/20: Seems like some are getting in the email/Inbox an offer to get 5,000 Swagbucks or 9,000 MyPoints with $14.95 purchase. That would be a $35/$45 moneymaker. Might be targeted. Some are also seeing it under the ‘Trending Now’ tab in their account.
Update 11/18/20: Deal available again. Hat tip to reader Ashee
Warning: This post talks about a website that sells nicotine products. Normally we try to stay well clear of anything to do with vaping/tobacco/nicotine but similar to the Vuse deal this is a money maker and might be worth doing because of that. Use these products at your own risk and make sure to understand the health concerns (feel free to provide feedback in the comments as well. I doubt we will post a deal like this again).
The Offer
- Swagbucks is offering 4,000 Swagbucks (worth $40) when you purchase Velo nicotine lozenges for $18.36 + tax (~$21.5 monye maker). Use promo code SHIPSFREE for free shipping
- There is also the same deal but for Velo pouches. This requires a $10 minimum purchase and you get $40 back as well, making it a $30 money maker. Looks like you can do both deals and get credited for them.
The Fine Print
- Must be aged 21+
- Nicotine product
- Minimum purchase of $15
Our Verdict
As mentioned at he top of the post this is a nicotine product so make sure your aware of the risks involved. Nothing wrong with making the purchase and then putting these directly in the bin. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this offer increase, as that’s what’s happened with Vuse. This has actually worked for some people who have done the deal before. Mine is spend minimum of $25 (NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING)... What is the policy on doing these offers multiple times, I have seen offers that I've already used, and I never know if it's safe to do it again or how that works...
Not targeted this time 0/2
Just to follow up. Found deal in inbox of P2 who has never done the Velo deal before. It was indeed for $10 in spend. Purchased one item and total cost plus shipping and tax was $12.91. SB went pending right away.
Regarding VELO, "Must make a minimum purchase of $25 to earn SB"
Vuse and Velo offer frequency has dropped badly for me. I get just any one of them every 2-3 months now. :(
0/3 for me.
Don't see it on P1. Either MP or SB. P2 has it on MP, but minimum spend is $25. bummer.
Don't see it. Ugh.
@chucksithe Spend $10 get 4000 SB ($40). Found it in my inbox on Swagbucks. Also showing on MyPoints for 6500 MP with $10 in spend.
Well, just got denied by SB. I did the 10000SB for $25 back in February and it did not auto-credit. Purchased the exact same things with through my wife's account, and hers did auto-credit. So I contacted SB support about mine not crediting and the response is I needed to spend $25 *not including* shipping and so I did not meet the terms of the offer. It does say this in the T&C so I don't think I have anything to argue. I think if you are lucky and it automatically goes pending, Swagbucks has no idea what portion of your spend was for shipping or taxes. But if it doesn't like mine, you need to show a receipt to try to get credit and they can see what you actually spent. Lesson learned, I guess.
Edit: actually, I am going to argue this. The fine print just says "Must make a minimum purchase of $25 to earn SB." I did do that, part of my purchase just happened to be for shipping. I doubt I will get anywhere though.
Thanks for the heads-up! SB is a a like throwing the dice. Some deals post and others do not.
I hope they do not start to enforce that rule in every case ... Would be annoyong.
If you have to pay $25 + state tax + excise tax + shipping, the deal gets way less interesting ...
I'll see what happens to my purchases (MP & SB). Will credit in 5 days, so I should find out soon.
