Synchrony Partners With Virgin Red For New Cobranded Credit Card

Synchrony has partnered with Virgin Red to launch a new cobranded credit card. The new card will launch in the second half of 2024. Currently we don’t have a lot of details regarding the new card with Synchrony say:

The new Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard will allow cardholders to earn Virgin Points on hotels, flights, cruises or experiences, as well as purchases outside Virgin companies

Based on other cards issued by Synchrony I don’t have high hopes for this card.

  • Ah. Virgin. I give them mad props for failing so often in the U.S. and continuing to try. They virtually guarantee their failure with Synchrony

  • Shall we assume there will be no airline perk? Given it's a Virgin RED card as opposed to Virgin Atlantic

    • The BofA card stopped taking apps some time ago; I’m assuming this means it isn’t coming back for new apps

    • That card hasn't been available for a while. Perhaps this is meant to replace it.

  • Does synchrony offer any decent SUBs? Trying to predict whether this will be at least good for the SUB
