Our Verdict
Nice increased bonus – the standard now is $200. There are other Capital One card bonuses that some might prefer over this one, such as the 75,000 Venture bonus.

Spending $500 assumes only purchasing, not paying bills?

This offer has been renewed. I just received the email today.
I got the $300 offer email in January and set it aside. End of February I decided to sign up before making a larger purchase over the $500. Forgot about the e-mail and signed up under the generic $200 offer. Called customer service a few days later and explained the email and gave the Reservation Number and Access code from the e-mail. 2 Days later my $200 bonus was upgraded to the $300 bonus and added to my rewards account. Original bonus posted immediately after purchase settled. One week from signup to additional bonus.
I saw this offer pop up in my app but when I went back later to actually apply I didn't see it anymore. Anyone else have this issue? Is there another way to find this offer again, maybe by calling them?
Applied 2/13 and approved immediately. 770 credit score and no prior relationship with Cap1. I did sway some of my answers to say I usually don't pay on time, carry balance since some people mentioned cap1 only approves folks who think they can make money from
QS Cap1 application. Applied with 780 credit score and good income. Denied :( Was hoping to get the $300 SUB
It's not a scam. I have applied and got accepted within a sec. and got the $300 bonus.
I have capital checking's and savings accounts also.
Unsolicited QS Cap1 application. Applied. 800+ credit score. Substantial annual income. DENIED in 15 sec.. To many active cards/inquiries. Doesn't pass sniff test!
Got a preapproval in the Cap1 app when I logged in to my account to see my checking SUB status. Preapproved for Quicksilver $300. Applied and declined for too many active accounts. Only at 2/24 and 0/6.
How many credit cards did you have when applying?
