- Target is offering a $10 Target gift card when you purchase a $100 Airbnb gift card
The Fine Print
- Limit 1
- Valid 12/5 – 12/11
Our Verdict
You can pay with Target redcard and get a further 5% off. There are also some Citi offers and SimplyMiles deals, but they exclude gift card purchases.

Apparently you can’t use Target gift cards to buy third party gift cards.
Target dispensed with the $10 gift card charade and charged me $90, which is a little easier on my finances:
"You have now been charged $90.00 (the price of this item). Thanks for shopping Target!"**
BTW, maybe wait to see if Airbnb cards are included in the Dollar General 15% deal on Dec. 10, if you need to be selective with your purchases.
**P.S. Never mind. Seems they charged me $90 and then $10, and I got the gift card. Yay!
Has it gone live - the target page doesn't show anything relevant to this offer?
It's live for me. I typed in Airbnb gift card, etc. Interestingly, they dispensed with the gift card and just charged me $90, which is a little easier on my finances.

Standard disclaimer about never buying Airbnb gift cards applies. https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help/Reasons-NOT-to-buy-gift-card-for-Airbnb/td-p/570579
little confused...if you buy gc for personal use and use it in your own account...no problem right?
There are two scenarios where I was f%^&ed by this policy:
I have >$5k worth of Airbnb gift cards and got a 3 month airbnb
They only took the first month payment ($2.2k) from gift cards and the rest came from my credit card
If you split a payment with a friend, they will charge your credit card and not allow gift card balance to cover your half
Terrible logic. So because a second person can't pay for part of the unit, you should just never buy Airbnb gift cards? How long you been working at VRBO?
"There are also some Citi offers and SimplyMiles deals, but they exclude gift card purchases."
I have the $10 off $50 at Target Citi merchant offer and the 465 on $50 SimplyMiles offer, and looking at the terms just now, neither of them exclude gift card purchases.
