The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a one-time $20 statement credit/2,000 Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled card to spend $50+ in one or more transactions online at Sunbasket.com. Deal can be done three times for a total of $60 in statement credits. Sun Basket is one of those food delivery companies where they send you all the ingredients + a recipe for the meal.

Our Verdict

Sun Basket is a meal prep company where you get all the ingredients + recipe, similar to Blue Apron, Plated, Hello Fresh. Usually there are some other offers this can be stacked with, e.g one shopping portal is offering $40 back currently and $35 off your first order? Although I’ve never heard of that portal before. If anybody knows of any other coupons/deals please share below.

    • Swagbucks still has $35, AA has 3700 miles (was 3000). I went with AA. Four meals for 2 plan was $52 - $25 amex = $27 for four meals and 3700 AA miles. I plan to "skip" the next week to give us a chance to try the food. I suspect if i try to cancel they'll offer a retention bonus so if the food is decent and I can get in that $50-$60 range again I'll keep it for another week since the amex offer is good for up to 2x.

      • No retention offer, but simple cancellation. Click your name, my account, settings, manage subscription, cancel (in tiny letters at the bottom).

  • I just checked my Glamour Rewards account and they reversed my $40 credit! I only got one shipment and the offer did not say you needed to get two. I will be emailing them to complain. Anyone else seeing this?

    • I really hope this isn’t the case. I pulled the trigger on this deal the last week you were able to. I’ll report back in August whether or not they paid out.

      • So I wrote to them and they decided that the reason why it was reversed was because I had modified my order after I had submitted it. I had changed the order to add additional items to get over $50 and qualify for the AMEX offer. I did not mention AMEX since I figured they would incorrectly say that was why I did not get it. Anyway, I wrote back and said that this was unacceptable and that cancelling and reordering (what they suggested) would not have worked because I would no longer have been a new customer, and that Rakuten would have at least contacted the merchant on my behalf. They agreed to ask Sun Basket and I heard back today that they had approved my rebate. I just checked my account and I see the $40 posted again.

Hopefully you have less problems with yours.

  • Swagbucks is offering 3500 SB at the moment, tracked fine for me and I also used $35 discount + paid with Amex. 4 meals for 2 people cost $53 - $20 Amex - $35 SB = happy tummies.

    • Hi I wondered how do you track the swagbucks SB? I saw activity tracking for 60 days a month ago when I first signed up at swagbucks but now I can't find where to track in the swagbucks website? TIA!

  • Interesting that the Sunbasket Amex offer I got the $20 back plus it also triggered the 5% off at supermarkets offer. Signed up through swagbucks the 2000 is pending so it tracked, but I also used a 35 dollar coupon code signing up so fingers crossed!

    • Yes, and I used it on my BCP card, so I get 6% back, plus the 5% and $20.

This isn't the first time that a meal delivery service has coded as a supermarket on BCP. I'm guessing it's in the fine print somewhere.

    • When did you make the purchase? It didn't show up as fast as some other sites. But mine is still there.

  • Glamour Rewards did track for me. Just a side note, they send cashback as checks quarterly, which means if you do this deal now in the second quarter period between April and June, they won't start processed your check until August 15th. It doesn't matter to me as long as I get the check, but someone may find it troublesome.

    • No different than ebates (oops, Rakuten), except they have a Paypal option. As you implied, so long as we get paid, not a big deal.

  • I ordered yesterday using my bank of America card to get 20% back but realized I could just add items to get over $50 and use the AMEX deal (3 meals for 2 people was $39 after coupon and tax for me). The site was not showing me the new total, likely a bug related to my skipping the first week. I did a chat with them, and while they were unable to fix it I did learn one thing -- any add-ons are not taxable. So I needed to make sure that I added $11+ of items to get to $50, not $10.16+tax. Hopefully once this week's box ordering closes the system will show me the total price of my order. Obviously I've switched my payment to AMEX.

  • I've gone ahead and used that portal (Glamour Rewards). This is a money maker if I get paid out correctly. But even if not, that's 4x2 meals for 25 bucks delivered, not bad. I'll report back if the portal works

    • I also just signed up thru them. Hoping for the best. I used my Bank of America card since I have a 20% offer from them. Not as good as the AMEX deal but I'd have to buy more than 3 meals to get to the $50 required for that one (my order is $39 for 3 meals for 2 people, after the $35 coupon and free shipping).

For those are care about such things, they have a pretty good selection of vegetarian meals.

      • Did it track though? I had tried this website last year for some other purchase and it did not track back then. But it's the most lucrative one out there.

        • I only ordered a few hours ago, and I skipped the first week since I liked the menu the following week better. I haven't even seen a test charge hit my credit card yet. So I would be surprised to see it show up on Glamour rewards until the middle of next week (which is apparently the latest that i can change my order). And no, it's not showing up there yet.

  • Drop has 30,000 points offer ($30) and Amazon is back as a redemption option. Don't love using Drop given how often they change things up, but if you're redeeming this anyway worth trying it. It tracked as pending for me right away.

  • Strange that this offer popped up so quickly. I just used $25 off $70 and my first order is coming next week.
