  • Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend a minimum of $75+ in one or more transactions online at select home improvement and furnishing stores by 12/31/2019

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid on online only purchases made directly on homedepot.com, lowes.com, dwr.com (Design Within Reach), roomstogo.com, raymourflanigan.com, restorationhardware.com, houzz.com, wayfair.com and menards.com.
  • Not valid on e-gift cards purchased on homedepot.com and lowes.com.
  • Also not valid on physical (including reloadable) gift cards purchased online on homedepot.com.
  • For Lowes, excludes purchases at Lowes Zone, Porch, Orchard Supply Hardware, Custom Blinds and Shades, The Mine and Resolve. For Home Depot, excludes in-store pick-up, gas station and car wash purchases, and purchases at Blinds, Your Other Warehouse, HD Direct, Home Decorators Collection, Home Depot Foundation, Employee Funds, and Employee Committee.
  • For Menards, excludes wood recycling and pallet sales, and purchases at Blueprint Upload, Menards Transportation, Nail Plant, Menard Real Estate, Midwest Manufacturing and Truss store. For Restoration Hardware, employee sample sales and purchases made at cafes, restaurants and wine vaults are excluded. For Rooms to Go, payments to your Pay your Bill with your Rooms to Go account will be excluded.
  • Offer valid only on purchases made and shipped within the US. Some merchants may not ship to all areas.

Our Verdict

Keep in mind this is for online purchases only. We saw a similar deal last year as well. There is another offer for Lowe’s stores currently, so if you plan to use this offer at Lowe’s make sure to save it on the same card.

  • Given all of the restrictions, does anyone know if AMEX receives L3 information from Home Depot or Lowe's? For example, do they know if we purchase gift cards? If not L3, something must allow AMEX to deny the credit if the prohibited items are purchased.

    • Doesn't matter, it's irrelevant. Amex could receive L1 & L2 "Merchant Name" or L3 "Item Description". The merchants for HD's & Lowe's e-gift cards and HD's physical (including reloadable) gift cards purchased online are cashstar and wgiftcard. Purchases made from cashstar and wgiftcard are not eligible for this offer.

      I did similar Amex Offer at Lowe's (valid in-store and online) in January. The in-store GCs received the $100 statement credit and met MSR for $250 upgrade bonus. HTH. @guest_705327

    • +1. Has anyone gotten a double-dip with the online home improvement and furnishing offer? Thinking that I could order $100 for instore pickup or as a delivered giftcard then should be in the clear. Better case would be $75 for instore pickup and a $25 giftcard to trigger the $15 back. But would like to not be the guinea pig on this one :)

  • So I have this offer as well as the Lowe’s offer on the same card. Is there something that I can buy to max them out, like a physical gift card? At least the copied and pasted exclusions don’t seem to exclude physical gift cards from Lowes.com. Thanks!

  • This may be off topic but any idea why I have never gotten an offer on my blue business cash? The only card that seems to get any decent offers is my wife's employee card on our BBP. Just odd on both.
