[Targeted] Barclays 0% APR Offers

The Offer

No direct link to offer

  • Barclays is offering some cardholders 0% APR on purchases between 7/15/2020 and 02/15/2021

Our Verdict

Normally each month Barclays offers targeted spending offers, I guess due to COVID-19 they are offering this 0% APR instead. There are very few 0% APR, no BT offers at the moment on new cards so this could be useful for some people. Just make sure you’re not spending above your means and will be able to pay off the cards in full before the introductory period ends as credit cards carry come of the highest interest rates out there.

  • Has anyone else been unable to activate the offer? I've been trying for almost two weeks and tomorrow is the last day to activate. Apparently they don't even test their own links before putting them out there.

    • I could not either and called them. They noted the account, said their IT folks could not figure out why the "activation" would not work and said they would manually adjust it to 0%. They required me to e-mail the offer to them. Not a good process but hopefully they will honor their word.

  • no thanks.
i rather use Citi Double for 2% on anything. or 3% cashback for online shopping with BofA.
or get 5% back when paying with discover on paypal starting in July

  • Received e-mail on my Jetblue Plus subject line: [Name], activate now: 0% APR for 7 months

    I'm going to pass.

  • Barclays is also "encouraging" me to use my Jet Blue card within the next 30 days, to avoid having it closed because of non use. No sugar coating or enticement offer, just use it or lose it. It is the no annual fee card, so I guess I'll spend a buck or two on it.

    • Nice that they warned you ahead of time... no notice for me, just shut it down, letter afterwards

    • Just do $1 amazon purchase and Barclays will waive it off as balance adjustment. Just did it with my Arrival and hope it counts as use of my card now

        • I can confirm it is definitely $1. I had been doing $0.99 as well and did $1 this month. Statement just generated yesterday as $0 balance with the $1 written off.

  • This seems like a promo that is trying to trip people up. Sending it out now but only applying to purchases after 7/15. You'd need to make sure you pay off any pre-7/15 charges on the next statement, then you could just pay the minimum and enjoy 0% interest. You also need to pay off the balance by 2/15/2021, not your February payment due date. That reduces this to more like 5-6 months 0% interest.
