The Offer

  • Capital One is offering a bonus of $600 when you open a new business checking account and complete the following requirements:
    • Use promo code BIZCHK600
    • Deposit $10,000 within 30 days of account opening
    • Maintain a balance of $10,000+ for 60 of the first 90 days of account opening
    • Complete 10 eligible transactions (not including debit card, need to be ACH debits or credits and a few other options)

The Fine Print

  • You’re eligible as long as you haven’t had a business account. for that business in the past 90 days
  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Our Verdict

Not sure when the last Capital One business checking bonus was, I do think this is worth doing if you are targeted and hopefully it becomes public. If you put the $10,000 into a 5% account for the 60 days you’d earn ~$84 so this is significantly better.

  • Anyone still waiting for this? I opened 11/1 and funded 11/6 but no bonus yet. I wasn't targeted, but promo said successfully applied.

  • Have others closed this account after receiving bonus? Any fees or penalty for closing early?

  • Anyone still waiting? Looks like most of the folks were credited on 28th Feb. I opened with the promo code on 11/5, added 10K by 11/26. Completed 15 ACH txn b/w 11/5-11/26.

    I withdrew on 3/2 so well over 90 day with $10K. Never had business checking with Cap1.

    I'd rather not call if there more folks in the same bucket. Assuming they are doing batch.

      Like you, I did not withdraw until March (3/4). I'm also apprehensive about calling, as I was not targeted.

      • I didnt receive either. I tried to call and inquire but the guy said I didn't have enough transactions and thats why I didnt get it even though I do have enough. I just went ahead and moved my money. C1 is a pain when it comes to this stuff. Win some - lose some.
