[Expired] Chase Amazon Prime Card: Get 4% or 3% or 2% Back Everywhere With No Limits (Thru November or February)

Deal has ended, view more Chase deals by clicking here.

Update: Added the link to check what you got, should work for anyone to check. I have a hunch that all Prime members will get one of these offers – we’ll find out as reader reports come in. These offers are widely targeted, but not working for everyone.

The Offer

Check which offer you got

  • Chase Amazon Prime credit card is offering 4% back everywhere through February 11, 2021 with no limit.
  • Others are getting 3% back everywhere through November 11, 2020.
  • Others are getting 2% back everywhere.

You’ll still earn 5% back at Amazon and Whole Foods; this is just upping the regular 1-2% earn elsewhere to 3%/4% across the board.

The Fine Print

  • Requires activation. To be eligible for this offer, you must log on to the website referenced in this offer and activate by 09/22/20, 11:59 PM ET.
  • All purchases eligible to earn the extra % Back during the promotional period 08/11/2020 to 02/11/2021 or 11/11/20 (depending on your offer), including those that occurred during the promotional period prior to meeting the offer requirements, will automatically earn the extra % Back and be reflected on a future billing statement.
  • The extra points earned for this promotion during the applicable monthly billing cycle are generally available to be used at the beginning of the next billing cycle; bonus points earned on purchases made near the end of a billing cycle may take up to one additional billing cycle to become available.
  • To qualify for this promotional offer, your account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment.
  • This promotional offer is non-transferable. For more information about your rewards program, see your Rewards Program Agreement.

Our Verdict

The 3% offer was widely sent out; I haven’t gotten anything yet, so it might not be for everyone or it might be taking time to get sent out. The 4% offer is more targeted – that offer is better, plus, it offers a much longer timeframe through February 11, 2021.

The 3% and 4% deals are really nice – even 3% cashback everywhere is an exciting deal, and there’s no limits mentioned on these offers. I’d only caution that you don’t want to burn your relationship with Chase and it’s worth being somewhat measured in your spend; also, ramp up slowly. Things like paying taxes might be looked on more favorably than things like buying gift cards.

Thanks to all those who sent this in.

  • Just a Chase 5/24 data point. I joined Prime yesterday ($100 bonus, meh) and was immediately offered the Prime Visa. I already have the store card, which is Synchrony. If I'd know the Prime Visa was Chase, I wouldn't have risked the inquiry. Shockingly, I was approved, though I've well exceeded 5/24. Huzzah!

  • I got 3% offer. Has anyone tried paying quarterly estimated tax (1040-ES) via pay1040.com using this promo? I hope I get 3% on tax payments and Chase doesn't get offended by that.

  • Sadly I was only offered the 2%. However, I realized the other day that I made a payment to my internet provider using this card and saw that I was given 3% cash back. When I checked for rewards earned on this transaction, there was an additional 1% saying "Chase banking offer bonus". Does anybody know how that was triggered or if it works on all non-category spend ?

    • Discovered the same thing. Was on the phone with both the Amazon Prime card people and the Chase people and neither can tell me what the additional 1% "Chase Banking Offer" is.

  • Waiting for the Chase Shutdown thread to show up on Flyertalk with MSers that hit this one hard...

  • I only use the card for Amazon purchases, which is pretty often given my volume of Amazon transactions. Was targeted with the 4% offer until Feb 2021. The offer seemed too good to be true, but I DM’ed Chase through Twitter and they confirmed the validity. Tested on a store purchase that’d normally only get 1% in points back. Can confirm that the transaction went through at 4%.

  • We can’t enroll you with the information you provided. Please make sure you entered the primary cardmember's last name exactly as it appears on the credit card.

•If you've recently changed your address or replaced a lost or stolen card, please enter your previous card's last 4 digits or ZIP Code.

  • I just got the email but it was only for 2% everything. Shame really since I get 2% back already on several other cards. Had it been 3 or 4% everywhere I would have shifted spend to this card.
