Our Verdict

Basically a free $50-$80 for those targeted, though the 1099 possibility puts a damper on this deal. We saw a similar offer back in 2021.

    • Checked and no points pending yet. My third autopay was made on July 24. The 8-week subsequent period ended yesterday, September 18. I will give it until my next statement is generated and if points not posted by then, send an SM (secure message).

      • Any luck? Didn't see anything on my statement, and it's been more than 10 days since the 8 week mark. I'm going to send a SM.

          • My 8K bonus points posted this statement cycle without my taking any action. Interestingly, nothing appears in Rewards Activity but there are 8K more in Available Points.

          • No points yet. I sent a SM to card services, who said they would forward my message to the right department. I was supposed to hear back from them by today but nothing yet, so I sent another SM. I wonder if it'd be more effective to contact under the checking account instead..

          • Got a reply today saying that offer was not activated on my card. I did activate it same day.

          • I called and got some clarification. I received two offers for two different cards, one for 8000 points for 3 payments on card A and another for 5000 points for 6 payments on card B. Since the UI allowed me to select between card A and card B when activating, I activated the 8000 point promo on card B. Now they're saying that despite the confirmation I received, I'm enrolled for the 5000 point promo on card B. Guess I'll sit through a few more months in hopes of getting the lowered promo...

    • Terms: "Please allow up to 8 weeks after your 3rd automatic payment for 8,000 bonus points to post to your account."

    • Nothing yet. I was also back to check for DPs. Third autopay posted 7/29, so will give it a few weeks...

Mangorunner, I confirmed that the offer is per credit card

In addition, you can activate all offers. Please allow up
to eight weeks after last consecutive monthly payment is
completed for points to post to your credit card account

    • Thanks for sharing!

However, it appears it's technically impossible to activate all offers. I received two offers on two different credit cards associated with my Chase account. After activating the first, when I tried to activate the second, there is an error message states that "you've already redeemed this coupon".

I secure messaged Chase customer service, asking why I cannot activate the second offer, and the rep replied that it's because I already activated and taken advantage of the first offer. It seems reps themselves are giving inconsistent answers, so it's unclear who to trust...

  • My wife got a 5k and an 8k and I got nothing. I activated 8k on my wife’s credit card. Later I used 5k to activate my own credit card and it worked.

  • I got an 8K offer but I don't have a personal checking account with Chase, only a business one, so I thought maybe I can use my business checking for this offer but to no avail. When I tried activating it the following message popped up: "This coupon might be expired, or it might not be available right now."

  • I got a 5k and an 8k. If I hadn’t read the fine print I would have tried to activate both, maybe the lower one first.

    • Yeah, seems like coupon is same for both.
I had the 8k activated first and tried to activate 5k after that. It says coupon is already redeemed.

Looms like the offer that was redeem first will be applied to the account.

  • It seems like you can apply this to any card, just not more than one. When I clicked the activate offer button, there was a dropdown list showing all my Chase cards. I could select whichever one I wanted.

    • It lets you choose a CC but make sure to select the one that was specified in the email you received. The last 4 digits are referenced on the email.
terms: applies only to the account ending in the last 4 digits referenced in this offer

      • Yeah, I didn't try selecting a card that wasn't referenced in the email. I assumed that would work since it was an option. But in the end, I wanted to use the card from the email.
