Our Verdict
Most readers won’t be eligible for this card due to the 5/24 rule. If you are eligible it might make sense to apply for another Chase card instead (e.g Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve) and then downgrade to this card at a later stage if you value the 1.5x points earning. Standard offer is $150 after $500 in spend, we frequently see $200 after $500 in spend and there was a $225 offer that required $5,000 in total spend recently.
This is a strong offer for this specific card, just up to you to decide if you want to go for this card/bonus or another Chase card really. We’ve also seen a bonus of $300 on this card previously as well. As always if you have any questions about Chase, read this post first.

Didn't get an email but saw a $300 Chase Freedom (5%/1%) offer on the credit journey page. Another offer was 60000 points for Sapphire Preferred after $4K in spend.

For folks not interested in miles, it seems this is the better offer.

Can this kind of target offer override 5/24?
I don't think so. Got a similar offer last year (not via email, but as a pop-up in online bank), applied and got rejected due to 5/24

How do you guys get Chase target emails? I never received target emails like that, guess its because I opted out promotion email?
Dont use their products:) I rarely pull out CSP and CFU and get promo emails nearly every week for something or another.
If you ever opted out of receiving marketing materials from Chase you'll never get promo emails again for that email address. There's no way to change that, according to Chase. You need to change your email address and not opt out. But I can tell you that for me the emails are far and few between, and I'm never targeted either beyond what's shown under the "Just for you" section for my account online.

If you're under 5/24 and value the 1.5x earning, there's always the Ink Unlimited, with the same 1.5x earning and a $500/50k signup bonus and without impacting your 5/24 count.

is chase ink cash better than the ink unlimited? and another question - is it worth getting the chase freedom that has 5% cash quarterly?
Ink cash and Ink Unlimited are both very good cards to have and keep for different reasons.
Ink Cash give 5x at office supply stores, telecommunications and Cable/Internet providers.
Ink Unlimited offers 1.5x on all purchases, so it’s great for unbonused spend.
Chase freedom categories offer the 5x on rotating categories which are sometimes easy (sometimes not) to max out at $1500 spend. No reason not to have the card.
All with $0 annual fee
I'd caveat that the rotating-categories Freedom is generally not worth using up a 5/24 slot on for most people. Better to PC from a CSR or CSP instead of signing up for it directly.
