Our Verdict
No cost to add an authorized user, so this is a great deal and worth doing. Seems to be highly targeted though unfortunately.

I have 12 INK cards. Most have P2 as AU. Will removing her increase chances of being targeted?
For anyone wondering, Chase INK will ask for a name and birthday, but you can write whatever you want. I've issued cards with the name as AUTHORIZED USER just for kicks.
Can you just add a cat or dog?
Not a fan of adding P2 as AU, I'd rather just hit a new SUB.
Yes
Add P2 as AU (biz card so doesn't count against 5/24) and remove them after the promo period
What P2? Some of us are lone wolves
AmEx lets you add yourself as an AU to get bonuses, so Chase might as well. Can’t hurt to try.
None yet. Wouldn't mind targeted for more Staples/OD offers on the Inks though.
How do I even begin to get Chase's marketing emails? I never get any :(
Got like 20 ink cards and no email booooooooo
Can I ask how you manage them via online banking? I just got a 2nd INK card that's a duplicate (both Preferred) and the newest one isn't automatically showing up in my online banking portal like they usually do. Any tips/advice?
Probably created in a separate profile. You need to create new profile first using info of new card. After profile is created you will have the option to link profiles.
Go into settings, account settings, manage linked accounts
Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be what I need: my new Chase Ink Biz Preferred card isn't showing up in either my business account login, nor my personal one. The settings you directed me to don't allow me to add in a new credit card...
By yourself or 2P?
In for the 1099 :)
I believe you only get one if total referrals, etc., are over 600 that calendar year
Chase doesn’t acknowledge a 1099 threshold anymore.
False. I just received a 1099-MISC from chase for $300 for 2 referrals on my Sapphire Card.
False
Oof, thanks for correcting me
Got the email offer but doesn't it do a hard pull on the authorized user?
I added P2 as an authorized user years ago on a chase credit card and they did a hard pull on it, not sure if that's still the same nowadays
No - no hard pull.. Won't even show on a credit report. AU/employee cards do not show on credit reports for biz cards, and certainly no hard pull. AU's do show on the credit report of personal cards.
Good point makes sense, thank you!
Do you get a 1099 for this?
Lately Chase sends out 1099s like a drunken sailor giving out dollar bills at a strip club.
