[Targeted] Chase Sapphire Reserve 100,000 Points Mail Offer With $550 Annual Fee Waived First Year

The Offer

There’s a mail preapproved offer some are getting for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card with a few advantages over the typical public offer:

  • $550 annual fee is waived the first year.
  • Authorized user fee of $75 is waived for up to 2 authorized user cards.

Card Details

  • $550 annual fee will apply for the second year and onward
  • Card earns at the following standard rates per $1 spent:
    • 3x points on travel & restaurants
    • 1x points on all other purchases
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • $300 annual travel credit
  • Primary car rental insurance
  • Visa infinite benefits

Our Verdict

An incredible offer with the annual fee waiver and the signup offer of double the standard 50,000 points offer. The spend requirement on this offer is higher, but obviously well worth it if you can manage that. I’m guessing this was sent out very selectively to those with high balances with Chase, let us know if you got it.

  • Would they send a mailer to someone with a Sapphire bonus within 4 years (and if so, would it work)?
Want to know if I should hold out hope, lol.
    I am CPC.

  • The one DP so far the poster said they had almost a $1MM credit limit across all cards and legit business spend. Seems likely this is a pretty highly targeted offer.

    • dude has measly 50k dep and 35k opening credit isn't difficult. are we suppose to think he's a baller cuz 35 loc?

  • Food For Thought

I too would like more confirmation that this offer is real. But, for the sake of argument, let's assume it is.

Would it help bring the country out of recession if Chase waived some of its credit card requirements and permitted, maybe just temporarily, holders of one Sapphire card to hold two?

    Waive:

One card in the card family rule
    5/24 rule
48 months rule for last Sapphire bonus.

    Result:

I have the feeling the discussed offer would go gangbusters , say some multiple of the frenzy accompanying the initial offer of the Sapphire reserve four years ago.

It may also encourage other lenders to follow suit.

The additional spending requirements and the accompanying use of points for purchases such as in the Pay Yourself Back offer Chase Sapphire cards currently have can only stimulate the economy.

    Thoughts?

    • I don't even get why the one tbh. we are cpc with 120k on deposit & chase wants to downgrade us if I don't pony up more. deposit 20k/mo + 60-100k once a year. shenanigans. i think he's making it up.

    • Yeah exactly...only one person has given a DP of it in the sea of Reddit and DoC readers (who btw didn't bother to post a pic of his mailer)...seems to be ultra-targeted imo if it is indeed true. And not sure why DoC decided to post it without more evidence just to create hype, helps views and ad revenue I guess

  • I wonder if someone at Chase marketing pushes out lucrative offers to a few hundred CPC members who've never churned and then enjoys reading comments to the posts like this one :)

  • At least if Joe Biden wins the presidency, you can easily hit the $10,000 spend by paying your taxes.

  • 1. review needs quite a bit of update with duplicated and outdated content
    2. I'm guessing that 3x points doesn't apply to UberEats, DoorDash or the like?

  • Right now we have 8 chase cards between p1 and p2 and less than $100 per month spending all combined. I am loving Amex right now. Amex offers so many good deals that I have stopped using Boa for 2.65%. Only Boa cash card for Costco cash card.

But I am going to move money to chase and close the chase preferred in December and make ourselves attractive to chase :)

    • Boa 2.65 is for everything else purchase categories.. Wondering what amex offers that you mentioned is better than boa 2.65?

      • Well, anyone with the AMEX Blue for Business Plus earns 2 MR/$ right there, no need for AMEX Offers, which is more than 2.65%. In fact since the BBP came out I'm not sure why the 2.65 is still considered so attractive? Especially with the $100k requirement.

      • As a platform honors you get 5% cash back for online shopping category So I buy Costco cash card from costco.com. If I use boa cash card directly at Costco warehouse, I get only 3.5%.
