The Offer
- Citi has sent out targeted spending bonuses on the Citi Sears card:
- 10% back in statement credits on total eligible gas station, grocery store and restaurant purchases of $100 or more made each month (up to a maximum total of $30 in statement credit(s) each month) using your Shop Your Way Mastercard from 10/1/2023 (or the date you activate this offer, whichever is later) through 12/31/2023
Our Verdict
These offers are why this card is listed as the #1 store card. Can’t be stacked with the recent online offer unfortunately.

hello - anyone get new online spending offers this month? none for me yet...
Today I got $50 for $750+ online spending so about 6.7% return and yesterday I got 10% ($50 max) on $450+ Utilities so 11% return.
Has anyone had the problem of spending alerts not working? Mine stopped sending out on Oct 11, and I have gone into the settings, double checked everything, even adding my mobile. Nothing seems to get them to work. Mostly need them to identify the glorious 'Card Not Present' items, which usually count as 'online' for Sears purposes.
Yes I noticed this too! My statement alerts are still coming but not the spending alerts. Annoying since many transactions take so long to post.
I have the old Sears card with a lot of TY points. If I get the premiere, can I combine the points to the premiere?
Yes

Yo, check it out. I just happened to log into the management website today and click on offers. It's been empty 99% of the time except once I saw some balance transfer offers. TRACKING!!!
https://ibb.co/Gnz0Rx6
Yes, I see it also. Finally we can track it now. It shows the grocery offer and utility offer. But the online spending offer is not shown.
thanks for this. found my grocery offer, which I have gotten for years via email or letter but hadn't this time.
DP- maxed out displaying 2 offers. I have 4 now currently.
thanks again
That's the best update I have seen on their website. I have 2 offers activated currently but only 1 is shown. Next update needed is pending transactions.😀
The spend tracker doesn't work though as mine shows $0 as of today which is incorrect. But atleast it has offer activated status.
Yeah not seeing pending sucks - but my hack for that is I have the spending alert turned on so I get a text for all purchases.
have you had any trouble with spending alerts? mine all stopped on Oct 11, inexplicably. I have checked all my settings and reset them to alert me just in case.
yup! having the same issue
Yeah mine stopped too!
Just checked mine. Don’t see anything in the offers section yet. Nice update though
Yep I just noticed that too! Awesome update!
Got a new offer today. @will
Earn 200,000 Bonus Shop Your Way® Points when you make eligible online purchases totaling $600 or more on your Shop Your Way Mastercard® from 10/15/23 (or the date you activate this offer, whichever is later) through 11/14/23 for this offer.
Man I miss those ones for a ton of points!
Wow, nice offer. How long have you had the card? I just got my first offer for this card and got a smaller $40 statement credit for >$600 online purchases
I got the card in March or April. I did not get any offers until last month. It was the same one that you received. Then got the 10% on 700 to 800 spends on gas grocery restaurant offer. And now this.
Mine was $80 off $800 online purchases
Can you have more than one card? Any one applied for the second card and got the bonus?
No you can’t. But 2 people in same household can.
Does Walmart code as groceries for many of you?
Yep!
Target and Walmart code as groceries?
For this card yes! I believe they code as groceries everywhere but then there’s an exemption built in for those to sub-classify them separately. Hence CardA like the Chase Freedom or Discover rotating sometimes having just Walmart or Target as the “category” but they’re still coding as something either groceries, or maybe box box stores. Anyway this card doesn’t subcategorize them so they just code as groceries and yes count towards the G/G/D spending offers.
Thanks for all the info about this card. It’s fascinating how everyone gets different offers from each other. I’d love to know how the algorithm works @guest_1708310
Yes it does.
Bummed I only got this on P1 this quarter. Nothing on P2.
Well I hope I get this rather than having to spend $600
