Our Verdict
These are usually worth doing if you receive them, it’s just a shame the point caps are so low.

Where do you find these bonuses?

Only got a crappy offer of extra 1% CB up to $25 on the Citi Dividend MC, upon calling in.
Offers like these are a reminder to call periodically to see if any offers are available to be added to your card. This is especially valuable if you haven’t received any promotions/retention bonuses recently. I called and was surprised to receive a blanket 5% on ALL CITI Div purchases for 3 months (subject to the annual cap). You never know until you try.
I got $20 back after $200 spend on Simplicity. 10/1-10/31.
When I had the Citi Simplicity from 2013-2017, I used to get an annual offer for 5% back up to $25 on grocery, dining, gas, and drugstore spending. It wasn't much, but it was pretty welcome on a card that officially didn't have a rewards program.
The diamond preferred card offered $20 for $200 spend in October. They also targeted me for 5% back on Payal until 11/30/18 up to $25. $500 Spend. I'm hoping they will stack so that I can knock both out in October.
i got the spend $200 Oct 1 - 31 and get $20 Statement credit for my citi diamond preferred card. nice sock drawer use
I got this on my Citi simplicity card. They won’t let me convert out of that card so it never gets used.
Lucky you. I got $20 for $750 in spend!!!!
Are these offers sent via email, or do they show up when logged into your account? I haven't noticed bonuses either way.
Also, I have an AA card that gives me a $200 statement credit once I spend $200 on AA purchases. If I were to have this offer, would the $200 spend at AA that was then refunded trigger the 2,000 bonus points?
Never get targeted for these things. Doc, do you have any knowledge of what could help trigger Citi offers? I talked to the CSR, who mentioned I'm enrolled for the +1 points/$1 spent at restaurants and gas stations, which isn't a targeted offer at all.
