  • Under Citi Dividend explore bonuses link, it is displaying Groceries and Drug Stores for 2nd Qtr cash back bonuses. It would not allow me to enroll.

    • Site tells you of offer but if you scroll down it also tells you sign up begins on March 15th

  • I have 2 cards but never been targeted, those targeted mind sharing some insight? Purchase history vs targeted category, acct balance, etc?

  • Bruh..

Discover doesn't like me I guess because I NEVER get these offers 😂🤷‍♂️

  • Nothing again...

I have been with discover since 1981 when it was owned by sears. In fact at the time it was only accepted at sears. Discover was my second CC. Not once since 1981 has discover card ever offered me any offers regarding the CC. For a while discover was my go to CC. I changed that about two years ago when I found 1.5% and 2% CC that replaced discover.

I was invited once to open a savings account with a bonus offer for $200 if I remember correctly, and they made it clear that it would be a once in a lifetime offer and to date it has been. In the last several years I have used discover card less and less. Now I only use it when it has the 5% calendar for gas, or groceries.

    • How did you get a Discover card back in 1981 nearly 4 to 5 years before it was released in October 1985? Our family got ours in early 1986 and it appeared it was one of the early releases because there were many zeroes in the account number!

I believe you answered your own question about why you don't get many many offers - you changed to other cards as your "daily driver". Discover has little info about your regular spending and you may be tagged as a category maximizer.

      • Dude I'm probably wrong on the exact date but it was sometime between 1981 and 1987 while I was serving in the military. That was about 42 years ago. Can't expect me to be exact.

I changed my daily driver card due to discover not being a good card like those offering 1.5 & 2% for every day purchases. My understanding is that most offers are given to cards that get very little uses so I'm putting it to the test.

      • I have spoken with CSR reps a few times throughout the years and each time they stated that some internal system using algorithms targets these select individuals for these offers based on some unknown criteria.

The CSR reps also claimed that they do not even know about these select offers, as they have no available information about them on their computer system, since these offers were generated specifically for those selected individuals.

  • I got an email reminding me that I can cash out rewards at one cent per point :(

  • i got it for just home improvement, which is my least favorite out of the three choices
