Our Verdict

Amazon told me that these offers from store-news@amazon.com are scams. Same goes for the $10 offer for trying a Prime Video channel.
Delete as the rep I spoke to last night was mistaken.
How can it be a scam? There's a landing page on the Amazon website...

how do we know if we're eligible?
Try clicking the offer link in the post. I don't do Prime so I haven't tried it, but often these links tell you if your signed-in account is eligible.
i clicked it. doesn't say anything about my account specifically. just shows the terms of the promotion. nothing to click to "activate" either.
