  • Watch your emails for another round of come back to us bonuses:
We’ll deposit $50 into your account just for rejoining Stash and adding at least $5 to your Personal Portfolio by 12/14/23.

Got the $30 offer last month but held out for a bigger one

  • Just got an email (subject "Start building long-term wealth again.") "We’ll deposit $50 into your account just for rejoining Stash and adding at least $5 to your Personal Portfolio by 6/21/23."

    • Last time I reopened my account for $40. After I closed it, they still sent me $30 or $40 offers for reopening it. I just waited and did it again after they raised the offer amount to $50.

So do not bite it for anything less than $50. And do not do the stash stock party; any penny stock you receive will extend the 90-day window for you to be able to close the account.

      • Do we need to make trade or do we only need to deposit $50 into the account and wait for 90 days to get the bonus?

        • Not sure about what offer you got, but the offer I got only required rejoining Stash and adding at least $5 to my account, no trades were needed. They added the $50 bonus to my account the next day after I initiated a $5 deposit. @guest_1520013

    • Me too, made a transfer on the 14th and got an email confirming the $50 deposit. Now into the 90 day hold period…

    • I got the same email. They do charge a monthly service fee the last time i signed up. I assume it was $3 a month.
      $38-$41 profit

  • I've been getting these offers by email for a while now and have even received an account reopening bonus in the past. All have been either for $30 or $40. I missed one, then tried to sign up for one just before the end of the year, but the application kept erroring out for me, so I decided to discontinue my efforts. I just figured that maybe they didn't want to give me another account or something.

However, last month, I got the offer to 10x my investments with a $5 deposit and stock purchase, so I decided to try again. My application finally went through after a few attempts on desktop from the link they emailed to me. I completed all required activities on the app and received the $50. Here's my timeline:

1/23 - Received email of offer promo
1/27 - Clicked thru email on desktop to reopen my Stash account, and initiate my $5 initial deposit from a newly linked external bank account (Capital One 360)
1/30 - Purchased exactly $5 worth of Apple stock, and later in the day received an email stating that the $50 bonus had been deposited to my account (that was quick!)
    1/31 - Sold Apple stock for $4.96

I'm just glad that my deposit went through smoothly as my P2 did a similar account reopening bonus and had troubles with his external bank account linking properly. He had to file a BBB complaint to resolve his account issues and get his bonus credited.

I'm not sure if previous account reopening bonuses had the requirement to purchase stock too, but it was fine as it was easy enough to do given that Stash allows the purchase of fractional shares. This will be a $41 MM for me since the $3 monthly fees for three (3) months will slightly eat into my bonus amount. Not as good as when they only had $1 monthly fees.

I also keep getting mobile app notifications to sign up for stock parties, but then I did one for Nike and only got 14 cents. I've decided this is not worth my while, so I am not doing those anymore. Will cancel my Stash subscription after my 90 days are up for sure, I've marked my calendar already.

  • Got the following email:

We’ll 10x your $5 investment when you rejoin Stash and invest $5 in your Personal Portfolio by January 31st.

    • @guest_1306676 i got the same and posted the same in the othe stash thread.
I think if you read the fine print, it says you have to open a separate brokerage account. I am already paying the $3 fees waiting for the $10 bonus to mature. Might as well do this too. What do you think?

        • @guest_1519178 I was mistaken, they use fancy words which I find very confusing, you simply need to buy $5 worth of stock in Personal invest (which is their brokerage) account

  • I just did re-join. But after that, when I clicked transfer, the page keeps loading. In addition, I got email which says I am on free trial now and will be charge in 30 days. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone can share the rejoin experience? Thanks.

    • SO was a Stash sub who is trying to do the same thing (since he also got the bonus email) and he's also encountering some issues successfully "rejoining" to get the bonus.
What's weird is that when he went to his Subscription page, it's saying he is not subscribed and that he will need to contact support to resubscribe?

  • Do they do any credit check for reopening of the account? If we need to stay for 90 days, does that mean we have to pay at least $4x3=$12 in order to get $30? Do they send 1099 for the $30 bonus?

  • The end of the year is almost here, and we want to help you get your year-end goals checked off.

We’ll deposit $30 into your account just for rejoining Stash and adding at least $5 to your Personal Portfolio by December 31, 2022.

  • Just got this offer after closing a little over a month ago. I’m going to do it because I hate Stash and I’m going to milk every penny I get.

  • (Correction.... the $50 offer was for Acorns)

P2 has done this comeback offer in the past and the bonus didn't pay without complaining and providing a screenshot of the email.

The next time, tried to churn it again, and they opened the account, then closed it the next day. Beware.
