  • I bought PIA on January 14. The status on topcashback is Confirmed, but still not available for redemption. Does it take this long usually? It's been 8 weeks now.

  • Private Internet Access tracked for me today when ordering VPN and Dedicated IP subscriptions. I got the tracking email from TCB probably around an hour later. My TCB online account reflected the tracking probably a little bit later after receiving the email when I had a chance to check it.

  • The doctor of credit referral link still works but it says it is expired. Is there a current one for new users to sign up?

  • Yesterday PIA tracked after about 50 minutes, ExpressVPN about 30 minutes. Surfshark worked on Rakuten earlier this week as well.

  • PIA tracked within minutes and ExpressVPN did not track. submitted request to cancel ExpressVPN thru chat

  • A lot of commentary on how marketing heavy and grey these providers tend to be.

However, some are saying getting this kind of VPN rebate and sticking it on your cousin’s 2006 asus behind your desk makes for a home seedbox. I, of course, would not say this.

    • Those same people also often mention easily searchable, well documented, and relatively easy to setup concepts like docker, gluetun, Plex, and the arrs suite that would help greatly in saving a bit of money, something that is core to the ethos of DoC.

I, of course, would also not say this.

  • Can only first time customers or users of the programs or earners of the cashback take advantage of this? I had an account with the VPNs a few years ago but canceled after the subscription ended so I wonder if I could take advantage of it again. Would I have to use a different email address for contact information for the account or can I use all the same information/email/etc. as before?

    • I have purchased the PIA plan every year with same email and same TCB account. It has always tracked. I even bought multiples in the same year (spread out every few months and have not had an issue.
