Our Verdict
Only a $100 bonus, we really need to know if it’s a soft pull and if you can fund with a credit card to decide if it’s worth doing or not. If anybody decides to go for it, please share those datapoints in the comments below. For now we won’t be adding it to the best checking bonuses.

Seems Bonus is back and I tried to fund with Amex which it never accepted. Tried Visa from Venture X and it was going through. Now account opening is pending review of the bank

Opened kasasa savings and checking accounts for the CC funding. Got a call the day after I applied from a banker asking me if I was okay with sending a copy of my driver's license via email as well as sending signed documents through email. I got my accounts opened and funded with a chase ink unlimited. Coded as a purchase. I also live hundreds of miles from the nearest branch.
Was this a hard or soft pull?
I applied for this account today and received an email in a few hours stating I had been declined. I called the number to ask why but was transferred to voicemail. I left a voicemail and haven't heard back...
Denied with 2000 cc funding. Was going to double dip this with P2 to help some citi spending. Would love it for that reason alone.
Have a message for the banker to call me back on recon.
Called recon. They said they are not accepting applictaions that "appear to be from the internet" said i could come in branch to push it thru.
May try to do a money market with my wifes card for no bonus but to get a dp on cc funding.
Signed up 10/28, with 1500 CC fund. DECLINED by email today.
Has anyone actually been approved for this so far? I applied Sunday, and haven't gotten approved or denied yet.
Any more DPs? Especially of CC funding?
I live in Austin and have a branch nearby, so that's an option, too. But it likely won't allow me to fund with CC there.
email this morning that my application was denied (live in Texas, not that close to the footprint).
tried funding with a credit card close to 2k and denied overdraft (they now added separate buttons on the last screen specific for the overdraft).
lots of checking accounts opened this year but nothing else derogatory in my history.
anyone got confirmed their account was opened if you live in Texas but not close to a branch?
I called (because I have no shame), and was told almost incredulously that I had 30 Chexsystems, so I think they are a little sensitive LOL.
Just forgot to mention that I live in Austin, TX and have a branch in town.
I have also received 'denied' email this morning. I tried $2k funding using my Citi AAdvantage MileUp card.
Live in TX. Applied this weekend. Got declined this morning. No reason given. Will have to call to find out.
