  • I did this online (I am an existing customer on a loan but no deposit account). Rejected automatically for Chex, called in and they said they have no idea, auto ding from Chex. So very Chex sensitive, my openings aren't that high.

  • Applied online for the checking account (I'm in TX). Went pending, finally approved after some back and forth with ID verification. Finally went through but they only opened the share savings account with $2500 CC funding.

Applied for the checking account and requested another 2.5k CC funding, went pending again, and then approved... but they transferred the 2.5k from the savings to the checking and didn't charge the card. Not gonna fight it but that's just weird. Chex lol/lol

    • Update: they ended up charging the card over the weekend, so 5k funded successfully. Coded as purchase on Chase card.

      • Is it still 2.5k CC funding? It seems they have reduced to only 1k now. Anyone else can confirm?

  • Link is broken but trying to hit spend and will try to get added after anyways…

app went to pending and required DL upload.

I was able to add 4 (free) checking/savings and also tried to add a money market for CC funding. was allowed to attempt up to $2500 per account but once I hit $10K cumulative, debit/credit card option went away and could only use Plaid to link bank account.

went back and removed money market and submitted app with all 4 accounts @ $2500

    • @guest_1953711 Maybe a silly question here, but what is the benefit of funding your checking/saving account through a CC? Is there not a transaction fee that offsets the benefits of points you would earn or are you literally just earning points for cash equal to your max credit limit? Thanks for clarifying, as I never really thought of taking funding checking/savings account anymore than the min amount required.

      • The point of doing it is to earn CB (or points) if the transaction codes as a "purchase", rather than as a cash advance.

The key to assure this is to only fund with an amount higher than the cash limit on your card. For example, if your cash limit is $200, only fund for $201 or higher.

        • yeah, not a silly question at all. you are both right and if you incur a cash advance fee it completely defeats the purpose of funding via CC. however, this bank and Wellby both let me fund via CC that coded as purchases and got me $25K in minimum spending toward two signup bonuses with very little effort... plus the 25K points to boot.

    • application was approved and funding went through for $10,000 total on my amex business platinum - coded as purchase. also, did not seem to be very sensitive for me.

expected to be declined due to recent accounts (20/24, 13/12, etc.) but no issues there.

      need to message regarding promo.

  • Very restrictive CU. Any ACH transfer requires a phone call to Customer Service to provide verification.

  • 11/17/24: Applied in-footprint (plenty of branches within several miles). Pending review after uploading DL. No HP yet

Chose to attempt funding $5k w/ Citi Double Cash ($2.5k per account). No transaction attempt yet

Note that there was nowhere on the application where you could enter a promo code, as far as I was aware.
On the landing page, the "Open an Account" buttons link to an URL with the promo code "OFFER24" pre-populated in the URL as a parameter appended at the end of the URL, but there was otherwise nothing in the application that indicated a promo being applied.

  • DP I can confirm the application makes you affirm you live in TX or are related to someone in the CU. I’m ineligible
