Update 6/29/23: Deal is back, not as good as the $600 checking offer. Terms state ‘This offer is valid for the intended recipient only and is not transferable’
Update: Looks like you can also get 2,500 on Swagbucks or 4,000 on MyPoints. Should stack fine as it takes you to the $600 bonus page. Most people should still wait for the $500 checking bonus to return. Hat tip to ShawntheShawn

Our Verdict
The $400 checking bonus isn’t as good as the recent $500 bonus. I’d recommend waiting for that $500 bonus to hopefully return if you missed out on it last time. It looks like you can just do the savings bonus or the checking bonus, no need to do both at the same time.
For the savings bonus you are tying up $25,000 for three months at minimum. If you put that into a basic savings account earning 4%+ APY you’d earn $250 anyway without having to open a new account. U.S. Bank only offers 0.01% so that doesn’t add anything to this bonus. Because of that I wouldn’t recommend this bonus either and won’t be adding these bank account bonuses.

Did not get the bonus on time.
Raised a ticket with support on call and had to wait for 2 months, but they did honor it.
RJ I have the same issues with US Bank, I fight 8 month, made 2 complaints, send dozen emails to head office, deal with branch, called customer service, after they said not eligible. Absolutely scam bank. Don’t trust them at all.
Be careful with US Bank. I went with their business checking offer 5 months ago and after completing all the requirements and the promo code flashing green as approved during the application process.
I called to follow-up on my bonus and they said that my code was for targeted offers only despite it going through as approved. They are working in an arcaic system and I had followed-up during the 5 months and was told I was good for the promo. 5 months later I learned I wasn't. Be very cautious with US Bank.
I wish the mypoints offer was for a bit more points.
@will This is for a targeted mailer it seems "This offer is valid for the intended recipient only and is not transferable."
"This offer is valid for the intended recipient only and is not transferable. Restrictions may apply. Address on new account must match address on the mail piece to be eligible for the bonus. Promotion code may only be used once. Bonus will not be paid if promotion code is retrieved by unintended recipient or if promotion code is retrieved from a deals website."
.
Calculating the APY, the savings bonus is not worth doing.
Hey DoC,
Savings account deposit should state $20,000 not $25,000 based on the new deal.
Thank you all for what you do!
How strict is the two year cooldown requirement?
I got the dates wrong, and open the checking account about 1 week too early from the last time I closed it.
What's done is done. I will still keep it open and make DDs (trying to keep good relationship and apply for the Altitude Reserve card). It would be great if I can still get the bonus...
Did you get the bonus?

This new offer is targeted right? It says you have to have gotten a mailer.
@will As @guest_1643993 said this seems like it might be targeted now: "This offer is valid until the expiration date listed on your mailer."
