Our Verdict
They have offered this bonus a number of times before. Generally they structure the deals so it will require more flights than you’d normally complete within that time frame. It’s also important to remember you need to register and only flights booked after registering actually count.

I got 8400 bonus miles if book fare $225+ & check a bag. Flew to Thailand with United last year. Only United flight since joining their rewards.
One trip $225, 9000 points.

I got book one trip for 3700 miles, must spend $250+

Do flights booked through a travel agency work? such as a united flight booked on Expedia? How about a corporate agency such as Concur?

Thanks! I got book 1 trip, get 3,600 (ticket value $275). My SO got book 1 trip in premium, get 56,000 ($2000 ticket). SO has only flown UA once in recent years.
