• American United Federal Credit Union is offering a bonus of up to $300 when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
  • Receive $50 per month for the first three months that you receive a direct deposit of $300 or more
  • Receive $50 per month for the first three months that you complete 15 or more debit or credit card transactions
• You can also get another $250 for an auto loan refinance (1% cash back)

The Fine Print

• New members are eligible to receive up to $550 when joining American United.
• This must be a new account for the Primary SSN, not ever having had an account before.
• New members are to receive up to $150 for setting up their employer Direct Deposit; $50 per month for the first 3 months that Direct Deposits of $300 or more are identified. These will be automatically added to your account at 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.
• $150 for 15 or more debit or credit card transactions per month; $50 per month for the first 3 months when those transactions are identified.
• These will automatically be added to your account at 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days.
• 1% Cash Back up to $250 for an auto loan refinance which will be deposited at funding.
• New Member Fall Special is for new members only, upon eligibility.
• If any promotional account is closed before or during the promotional period, we reserve the right to deduct these reward amounts at account closing.
• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Our Verdict

Because it’s a hard pull it’s probably not worth doing for most people and we won’t be adding this to the list of the best bank account bonuses.
