Plastiq no longer allows Visa Business card to be used on auto loan payments. Previously, only personal Visa cards did not work for auto loans while Visa business cards did work.
Going forward, no Visa cards work for any debit service such as auto loans, student loans, or mortgages. Mastercard and Discover stillĀ work for auto loans, student loans and mortgages.
Auto purchases and auto lease payments can still be made using any Visa card. You can see our review of Plastiq here. See a list of each type of payment allowed on Plastiq here.

Is Zola a good/legitimate alternative for Plastiq?
Damn youu plastiq!! Thankfully I churned fked out of Alaska biz from those leaked links
https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/Personal-Visa-Card-Policy
Hi there - this isn't accurate. Plastiq still accepts payments for auto loans with a Visa card. =) Here's a complete list of supported card categories. https://support.plastiq.com/s/article/supported-payments-by-card-brand Plastiq is used by consumers for card rewards and also for businesses looking to extend runway on large payments such as inventory, advertising, and freight. If you look at all the benefits of using Plastiq, you'll find its a great alternative to other business financing options https://www.plastiq.com/make-credit-cards-work-hard-for-your-business/
My apologies, quick correction, Plastiq with Visa support auto lease payments, but Visa is no longer processing payments for auto loans.
Added a note about leases and purchases
I am not sure in what way this is supposed to be a correction, but you are still incorrect on your correction of both yourself and the information contained in the above article. There is no generic support on Plastiq for Visa auto lease payments at all: there are only two narrow exceptions for business Visa credit cards or Visa debit cards that allow auto lease payments, and these must have payee independently verified by Plastiq before they will allow the transaction and then process your payment on a case-by-case basis due to screening for the type of business entity being paid said auto payment as that is also restricted. This can all be found from the information in the first link you provided.
I am trying to pay off my car 10k and get bonus for amex biz gold. I do not mind paying the fee, what service would be best?
If you don't care about fees, try out Zola. They charge 2.4% fee for credit cards.
What volumes have you experienced with this? Can I send gift payments to a fellow household member's "registry"? Very intrigued!
Oh no, now how am I supposed to pay someone a 2.9% fee to mail a check?
do they show up as an online transaction? wondering for BoA online category bonus.
BofA doesn't have an online category, it has an ONLINE RETAIL SHOPPING category. Here is a site from this year that lists some of what counts and what doesn't count:
https://wallethub.com/answers/cc/bank-of-america-online-shopping-category-2140732386/
and here is a DoC page from several years ago which has comments from people who reported what worked and didn't work:
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/which-online-retailers-earn-3x-with-bank-of-america-cash-rewards/
and based on all of that it seems very unlikely that most purchases through Plastiq would count.
But Plastiq can code differently depending on what you purchase with it, so for no credit card does Plastiq necessarily work the same way no matter what you use Plastiq for.
Just processed a $5k auto loan payment earlier this week on Hyatt Biz and was processed successfully
Visa consumer cards also
I thought Plastiq was long dead since they raised the fees.
I use it to meet minimum usage on a rewards checking that needs debits/transfer/deposits.
Costs like 50 cents a month, which is worth the time/energy/opportunity cost over amazon reloads.
The fees are ridiculous and the product itself has little value to anyone
still good for rent/mortgage which usually codes as travel, i net 2.55% after fees
How are you netting 2.55% after fees from a travel category since 3x is the best out there for travel?
BoA CCR gives 5.25% with platinum honors....
