  • To kick off the holiday shopping season, Walmart will be selling their annual Walmart+ subscription plan for a discounted $49 instead of the regular $98. This is valid from November 1st – November 3rd. New subscribers only.

Our Verdict

Not everyone will find Walmart+ worthwhile, yet others find value from Walmart+ with Walmart Grocery, no minimums on Walmart.com, free Paramount Plus, fuel savings, and access to some occasional special deals. A lot of us get Walmart+ free with the Amex Platinum card. For those who don’t, this is a deal worth considering.

Note: you can sign up with a Walmart+ referral link from a friend who already has Walmart+ and you’ll each get $20 promo code off your next $35 order. I assume that would stack with this deal as well. No referrals in the comments below.

  • Yearly renewal is coming up on the November plans. Check you emails for “ Celebrate the start of your 2nd year of Walmart+ with a $50 gift card from one of your fave brands, on us!” InComm Gift card. @chucksithe

    • Successfully received and used $50 gift card. Of course about a week after I paid with non Amex card, got the Amex renewal offer so I could have got another $40 back making it $10 for the year. Still happy with $50 for the year, it is much better than Prime or Target for me.

  • I really like it, they often deliver same day- great for when you run out of something or want to get something off your to do list.
    I don’t care so much about Paramount but the free $15 Lyft is nice too.

  • I'm a current Paramount+ subscriber (on the annual plan) who was thinking of signing up for this for the cheaper Paramount+ subscription. But it seems like the process is a little convoluted (I have to cancel my Paramount+ subscription, then wait until my billing cycle ends--in March!--before activating it in Walmart+, by which point I will probably have forgotten about this?), and since it presumably only lasts for a year and I'd then have to go back and re-subscribe to Paramount+ the old-fashioned way...look, I love a good deal, but that feels like a lot of hassle to save $11. I'll probably pass on this.

  • Trying to sign up for this – I see the offer on my W+ info page, and I just get a popup on the W+ page saying "We're having technical issues" when I click to use the offer - and have for the past hour or so. Just me?

  • No brainer deal if not already a walmart+ subscriber. Haven't been to a grocery store in two years. Now they do 2% cash back on top of whatever credit card rewards one earns. 49 / 2% = $2,450 - spend over that amount annually and walmart+ is making you money.

    • How do you get the extra 2% cash back? Do you have to use Walmart.com or the app to order? It sounds a lot like the digital coupons you have to "clip" at Kroger or Safeway in order to get the discount, or in this case the rewards.

  • Its live for me and I am a prior Walmart plus subscriber. I canceled my membership around 3 months ago when I closed my platinum card.

    It shows 6 months free when trying to subscribe to the annual subscription

  • The original screenshot from SD states that it starts today in the afternoon, so maybe it's too early still to get it
