  • Get 15 points per dollar (worth at least 15% back) on grocery store purchases. Max 4,000 points ($40).
  • Get 15 points per dollar (worth at least 15% back) at gas stations. Max 4,000 points ($40).

The Fine Print

  • Must activate offer to qualify.
  • Expires June 30, 2019.
  • Grocery offer is valid in-store or online.
  • Grocery stores exclude warehouse clubs and supercenters.
  • Bonus Cash Rewards will be added to your Rewards Account within 30 days of purchase.

Our Verdict

15% back at grocery stores and gas stations is terrific! It should work based on whatever Visa codes as Grocery or Gas; you can check the Visa Supplier Locator for specific locations.

Max these out with a $267 in purchases. Not sure if this can be used multiple times until maxed out – I don’t see anything in the fine print so presumably that’s fine with this offer.

  • Has anyone else not received their bonus points within 30 days? I made my purchase on 6/1 (post activation) and I believe that prior to expiration it actually said I had maxed out the offer, however, sitting here on 7/8, I've only received 506 base (1x) points.

    • You can call them for missing points. When I did the offer in June and the last one this July for groceries, I received the bonus pts 3 days after purchase and they were redeemable immediately while the base pts had to wait till statement cut off. I have very good experience with the GFR customer service, they fix issues as quick as possible.

  • I just saw this on my account. Mine says: Earn 15% Bonus Cash Rewards on multiple transactions (up to a total of $40 Bonus Cash Rewards).

    • I made split tender and put $266.67 on my WF CC and used AXP for "grocery" purchase at the supermarket.

  • If the VISA site shows 7-eleven coding as Gas Station, what are the chances Discover also codes it that way? Is it a location-by-location basis for 7-eleven with Discover?

  • Joke's on you Wells. Got the gas offer on a Propel with a two week road trip coming up!

  • Got groceries on WF Propel World. I've gotten tremendous value out of the card due to these promos.

  • I have the gas one. I don't think I see anything about it having to be a the pump - I wonder if it's okay to buy GC's in the store at the gas station...?

    • When WF had stores like JC Penny, Office Max and Bed Bath Beyond with 40pt/$ offers last year, I bought a ton of Visa and Amazon gift cards. Earned well over $1k in Go Far points.

  • I have the WF Cash Wise to get 5% back on Utilities. I was targeted for 15% on GAS. Quite nice. Can be used on multiple transactions.
