Update 3/13/20: I thought this was worth reposting, as I suspect we will be seeing more of these small deals in the coming months. I’ve had a lot of readers reach out that are hourly workers that have had their hours dramatically cut and are actively looking to reduce expenses as much as possible as a result. Please be kind to each other and remember that even if a deal isn’t useful to you, it could be to somebody else. We make an effort to make the titles as descriptive as possible so you can just scroll through and find deals that apply to yourself.
On a frequent basis readers will ask why we post smaller deals (such as the free burger or skittles we posted yesterday). There are multiple reasons (e.g having new content on the site) but the primary reason is because those deals can really help those who need it most. A free burger might seem like a waste of time to you, but if you’re struggling to eat three times a day it makes a dramatic and immediate improvement to your daily life.
Readers frequently share stories about how this site has helped them get back onto their feet and a common theme is how much these smaller type deals had in helping that. It’s nice to hear from readers that have been able to take dream vacations that they normally wouldn’t have been able to afford, but it’s not nearly the same as hearing from somebody who has been able to turn their life around.
I can understand why some readers don’t like these small deal type posts, it can make other more profitable content harder to find. Hopefully sometime in January/February we will able to make it easier to customize the type of content you want to see. In the meantime I appreciate you just scrolling over any deals you’re not interested in. We always try to make the titles as informative as possible to not waste anybodies time (and if you think a title could be more descriptive just drop a note. Constructive criticism is always welcome). Thanks for the self indulgent post as well.

Sorry, but the thought of you posting about free (nasty) Skittles still has me literally LOLg. 🤣
A quick recommendation to anyone who would like to filter out deals they wouldn't want to see.
Use an RSS reader like Inoreader. Subscribe to the DoC RSS feed. Filter out the terms you wouldn't want. I use it for my business as well as personal use.
The only bad news is they changed their pricing system last year so that filters would only be included under their Pro plan ($50/year, although you can get it cheaper around Black Friday). Just thought I'd mention it regardless, as I also use it with other discount sites, emails, reddit feeds, etc.
Excellent post, William. Don't let the negativity from a select few change your mission. Every post does not need to cater to everyone, which is why your descriptive titles and updates at the beginning of each post are extremely useful. Keep up the good work, man!
william, very nice explanation.
Personally i think a separate section for non banking/ credit deals would be appropriate rather than on the main page since its doctorofcredit not doctor of deals and i feel there are other sites which have those deals
Although its not my site, so i simply have no choice but to accept the decisions of the leaders
Pretty much if i forget the to check the site for about 48 hrs there are about 30 new deals lol and sometimes i miss important bank bonuses because of that, but again this site has helped me so i have no complaints
Opportunities to win are opportunities to win. This site has an editorial opinion and a clear agenda that's drawn its audience.
Trust DoC to be DoC. Micro deals? Small deals? Big deals? Jumbo deals?
Yes.
Hey. That Financial Panther site looks good.
For those of you looking for additional income looks decent.
Getting paid to eat....
Some of the comments complaining about this or that shitty deal - including, I'm sure, some of my own - are not a recommendation to stop posting them, but a commentary on shitty companies that could do better. I'm blessed to have a myriad of options, so it's easy for me to say "this deal sucks" when the guy across the street had a much better deal. I'll definitely try to include my reasoning in the future so no one gets the wrong idea :)
To those complaining about them being posted - your finger hurt or something?
Keep 'em coming, and thanks!
Free Skittles started this........shame shame shame......lol.
Thanks, William Charles and Chuck, for always putting people first, including those who are struggling financially. You guys rock!
Thank you Will & Chuck for all that you do!!
