It’ll be interesting to see if MGM partners with another hotel brand such as Marriott or stays independent.

  • word is they will be going with marriott as cosmopolitan (which mgm bought) still has marriott and MGM just extended their partnership

  • MGM could be shifting to a Marriot partnership but I agree that staying independent seems like the way to go. Their footprint is strong enough that maybe MGM should consider polishing up the MGM Rewards Mastercard to make it a more enticing pillar of their rewards program.

  • MGM just started a partnership with Marriott right? So maybe Bonvoy Plat β€”> MGM Gold starting next year?

  • Bummer, wish Hyatt would open their own hotel/casino there that's better than a Place at least.

  • Started the merry-go-round 2 years ago and really liked how it waived resort fees/parking fees when in Vegas. Sad that this is going away.

Got a couple upgrades with Explorist too. :(

No way to do this merry-go-round anymore right?

  • With Vegas still booming like crazy I’m voting they stay independent. Why waste resources on a partnership when you can sell all your hotel rooms yourself?
