Wyndham Timeshare: Three Nights + 15k Points For $149

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Wyndham is offering a 4 day/3 night stay for $149. You also get 15,000 Wyndham points

The Fine Print

This is available at a lot of different locations. Earlier in the year it was $199 but you also got a $100 rebate on a future stay. As with all timeshare deals I’d recommend avoiding them if you struggle to stay firm/say no. You can usually get a better than standard offer just by calling in, we detail that process here.

  • I have purchased and used this recently.

I was able to purchase two during the same call, so there is an option to purchase more than one. I also learned that you can negotiate up to a $250 Amex reward card and a $100 Spend a Night on Us voucher. Or, you can get 30,000 points and the voucher.

That said, I believe you can actually get the $250 reward card and 30,000 points, so negotiate hard. I made the mistake of not completely testing the upper limits of their offer because I was content with what I got: my mistake.

The Spend a Night on Us voucher sucks; must book at least a week in advance and it's a mail-in rebate with strict guidelines. Nearly useless unless you want to jump through their hoops.

The timeshare presentation was low pressure, but it does drag out a bit if you get a newbie salesperson.

All that said, I suggest you negotiate hard and book your stay at least a month in advance for the better hotels.

    Cheers!

    • MikeeW8,
      3 questions:
      1. What's net, if negotiate $250 AMEX+30k"? (i.e.: minus $149?)
      2. What do 30k typically get u?
      3. What location on East Coast accepts Single male?

  • Slightly off topic but the ad I see floating at the top of this page is "How to get out of a timeshare - safe and legal timeshare exit." Targeted ads are amazing.

    • Usually you can't do more than one per household per year. Definitely can't double dip with P2 on consecutive stays but you could call and negotiate a longer stay

  • Must attend a 2 hour timeshare. I have done a few of these and hated each of them. All I got for sitting for 2 hours is a measly $100 or some free vacation I could never use.

  • Stay at the one in Oceanside. 1brm. We loved it. Easy drive from SAN or LAX.

And we did the presentation for 30K points at the time. No different than any other Timeshare presentation. a little over 2 hours.

      • They're extremely pushy, but that's par for course for every other timeshare company. Plan on another 2 hours after the presentation to be bombarded with "once-in-a-lifetime" hyperboles.

They'll typically let you go quickly after they run through their gauntlet of salespeople. Just remain firm and resolute regarding your "no" answer. If they sense any hesitancy, you can plan on being there the entire day.

Stephen at Frequent Miler made a couple of posts regarding his timeshare presentation experiences.
