In 2016 Yelp launched Yelp Cashback, this is a card linked program that lets you earn up to 10% cash back at select merchants. You need to sign up for a Yelp account if you don’t already have one and then link any debit/credit cards you want. Yelp runs on the Empyr network same as Swagbucks and other programs. The reason we are posting is because reader Jeff noticed that when he checked into Sam’s Club at Yelp he was offered 5% cash back. Reader Jeff also linked their Chase Freedom card and it earned 5% cashback (Wholesale Clubs are a rotating 5% category this quarter).

Keep in mind a card can only be linked to one Empyr program, so if your card is linked to another Empyr program it won’t work. Another good tip is to add a debit card as your primary card, that way your cash back will be paid into that account rather than receiving a refund on your credit card causing you to forfeit points earned.

  • Ok, i give up. can't find a way to contact doc/site admin here. My email reply was unbelievable. Can't copy and paste here either. Was trying to let people here know that office depot has 4% Rewardsback on certain giftcatds (happy lady included). Limit is 2 cards per week. Promotion ends on 5/11.

  • Yelp doesn’t show cash back at Sams Club any more. Kind of sad. Both Dosh and Yelp dies at Sams Club.

    • I also noticed this today. Too bad for Sam's club. Sam's is generally inferior to Costco (IMO) and the Yelp and Dosh offers were pretty much what got me in the door.

Costco it is for me from now on.

  • is dosh still a part of empyr? all of the yelp offers are way better.. you do have to click to activate them now though.

  • It did not track for me yesterday. I added the offer in the early morning, then made the purchase in the late afternoon (2x200). Nothing showing in Yelp. Oh well with the offer it was flat 400 free MS but now I have these crappy cards to liquidate.

      • If you aren't able to/comfortable with liquidating by MS methods you can just pay any bills you have that you don't get a category bonus on with another card. You can also make estimated IRS tax payments with them for a $2 fee which isn't great but you probably made at least that much on your cc rewards so it is a quick/safe way to dump them. I did that with a couple of the $200s I bought early this year because I was concerned that the cashier hadn't processed them correctly and I just wanted to be done with it.

  • Wondeing if we use the yelp cashback promo for 7% cashback and also use the Chase ink cash card, will I only get the 7% off or will it track to chase as purchase at office stores resulting in 5x points?
Assume someone would surely have experience trying to stack these?

    • Chase knows nothing about Yelp CB you may or may not be receiving. Chase only knows that you made a purchase at OD.

  • Is there a direct link to the Office Depot offer? Screenshot says you have to activate the offer, but I can't find it anywhere. Thank you!

    • Its gone in most locations (see last update at top of article). Would be listed under Cash Back Businesses if present.
