Update 9/1/23: Deal is back and valid until Luke
The Offer
- AAA is currently offering 50% off new memberships. You’ll also save an additional $10 if you sign up for auto renewal, the admission fee of $20 is waived and you can add a free eligible household member (normally $30). Prices are as follows:
- AAA Classic $36.50 ($26.50 with automatic renewal)
- AAA Plus $54.50 ($44.50 with automatic renewal)
- AAA Premier $73.00 ($63.00 with automatic renewal)
The Fine Print
- Discount not being offered in all states
- Only valid on new memberships
Our Verdict
Turning off auto renewal isn’t easy unfortunately, I suspect AAA is offering discounted membership because people aren’t driving their cars much at the moment. Would be nice for an extension/discount for existing users as well but I doubt we’ll see that.

No discount here in WA State.
It might vary region to region/club to club, but some offer retention. For the past two years, I've gotten $20 off (with autopay enrollment) by allowing my renewal date to pass and waiting for AAA to call with a "special offer". The pitch has been painless and the process takes only a few minutes to complete.
>10 year member.
Offered $52 in Northern VA. yeah no
I'm seeing 42% off for NY, and the $15 enrollment fee is waived. $62/year for the Plus tier. Can't tell if there's an auto-renewal discount from the public page (I'm not a member)
Roadside assistance coverage on your auto insurance may be cheaper & provide better coverage than AAA. If you have it, you may be paying for redundant coverage if you also have AA.
Yea but then you don’t need to make an insurance claim for roadside assistance. The less the insurance company knows, the better.
Yep. Lots of people on other forums say the same about using their auto insurance roadside assistance, and then getting surprised with increased premiums when their renewal comes along, and it being stuck on your insurance record in the long run.
No discounts for Michigan :(
NJ $45.00 with additional member included...does not show tax (not sure if it will be added after checkout) and 20% off with Chase offers brings it to $36. $18 each not bad for that extra insurance if I can find a friend to share it with as I don't expect P2 will ever need it.
Just a heads up, the Chase offer I had was capped at $5
Thanks for pointing that out. Yes you are right same for me as well. It would then be $40 or $20 per person.
$25 off any tier in central Virginia- not really worth it. For 50% I’d consider it
