    • $400 when you open your first Business Checking account and deposit $5,000 and maintain that average balance for 90 days and complete 15 debit card purchases.
    • $600 when you open your first Business Checking account and deposit $10,000 and maintain that average balance for 90 days and complete 15 debit card purchases.

The Fine Print

  • Earn up to $600 for a new Seacoast Business Checking account meeting all requirements outlined below and ful filling the Small Business Visa Debit Card Offer as noted below. Limitedtime offer available April 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022.
  • Offer may be withdrawn at any time
  • Offer valid for recipient only.
  • Limited to one bonus per business relationship.
  • Business must have a current and active registration with the Florida Department of State
  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Free Business Checking

Free Business Checking has no monthly service fee and no minimum daily balance requirement. You get 150 items per month, after which an additional item fee of $0.35 per item. There is a $3 monthly check image enclosure fee, unless you opt for e-statements or choose to not have check images included in your monthly printed statements.

Early Account Termination Fee

According to the fee schedule there is an early account termination fee of $30 if the account is closed within 90 days of opening.

Our Verdict

Bigger bonus than the regular $300 bonus, but requires a bigger deposit and this option might be targeted as well. If it turns out to be open to everybody, we will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

  • Follow up, finally went to branch and successfully opened business checking after opening personal online. It was a pretty smooth experience opening the account but the process did take over an hour. The banker was a nice guy but he was definitely in no hurry. Used the code BIZ600.

  • Miami branch rep told me this business bonus is no longer available, unless targeted.

    So, there is a $400 checking offer and a $600 bundle checking/savings offer through Facebook. The codes are CON400 and CON600.

  • I have a lot of recent Chex inquiries on my report. Chances I could be approved in branch?

    • They do pull Chex in branch. However, they are not sensitive to it. The determining factor in my experience is your history of accounts with them and when you received bonuses in the past. @guest_1845011

  • Banker said even if business checking was closed over a year ago, the personal was closed fairly recent and that disqualify from the business promo.

    • I got the same message. Never had business account with seacoast bank, personal account was closed in less than 1 year ago and banker email said that I would be ineligible for business bonus.

    at first banker said can’t do as sole prop without DBA and without being registered to state. i said are u sure, a friend of mine did. he then called someone and said yes it’s true you can do as sole prop without DBA and signed me up

  • In South FL bankers have promo flyers on their desks for $600 Business and $400 Personal promos. All you need to do is stop by the branch and ask about the bonus offer for opening a new account. They'll be more than happy to assist since promotions (and marketing funding I assume) have been extended for 2024.
    Also, they offer 4.25% APY with Business and Personal Premier MM acct and 5.25% 3-mo CD, 5% 11-mo CD, 4.75% 7-mo CD.

      • My comment above was specifically about Seacoast bank offers and rates.
        If you have a Seacoast branch nearby you can take advantage of the offers I mentioned. Business offers are always in-branch. Personal offers are usually in-branch and online, but for 2024 I only saw in-branch offers thus far.

  • Not sure of this will happen to everyone who applies, but my branch asked me if my business was registered with the state, even as a sole- proprietor. When I said no and was about to walk out the door, the salesperson offered to double-check and allowed me to enroll anyway (probably after checking that there was no requirement in the fine print). Just something to be mindful of.

    • Each state has different requirements. In florida no documentation is required for sole proprietorship.

      • I was not targeted, but I do have a branch nearby so I walked in and asked about the biz checking offer (I got the non-biz chk/sav Seacoast bonus last year). I was walking out the door when the clerk said she would double check, seemingly wanting my business. She processed everything and the mgr concurred that I qualify as long as I meet the reqs.

        • I also have a branch nearby and chatting with an agent, I was told I need a flyer for both personal & business offers which doesn't make any sense because offers are clearly on their website. Will go to a branch. Thanks for your help

          • I needed the flyer for the personal, which I had in hand. For biz though I did not have. I just walked in and asked about it after seeing it in DoC and the banker had the offer on a plastic display next to her desk, so she knew what I was referring to.
